IMPORTANT CAT FEET PICTURE 🚨 ok so now I have your attention, but it is World Mental Health Day, and you all know how I feel about mental health awareness, but I need to say this today. The last 18 months have been the most stressed I have ever been. Now it's "over" I have to still try and figure out how I'm going to cope with everything with no assistance from our government. I've been absent, avoidant and constantly wanting to wail and pull my hair out. I also know so so many people that have talked about their struggles recently, and that's really inspiring because although there is still a huge stigma attached to mental illness, this is improving. This isn't just a post to support those of us with depression and anxiety, both of which are becoming more and more accepted, but also those of us with many different and not as prevalent illnesses. You matter too. You matter a whole lot. I do want to say something about the news for the last two weeks regarding Kavanaugh. The amount of people I've spoken to who have struggled with flashbacks, dissociative episodes, panic attacks and general invalidation from others. Spare a thought for us, this is incredibly difficult to come to terms with, and it's increased a lot of people's pain and upset.
