I am so so tired of the constant negativity surrounding Sarah's books like people just expect to be disappointed, to dislike them, to not meet their expectations and then.. when they don't like the book they blame the author. They love to criticize an ongoing story, it feels like if you, without the creative vision of the artist, went up to a sculptor while he is mid-sculpting and then began telling him how the work is undone and it lacks this that or whatever.
I just I need to know where my Sarah loving homies are.
Here, here babe. 🤙🏼
I hate the entitled attitude that readers have. It's weird. Authors don't owe you their story the way you want it. And I understand, we'd all have preferences/expectations on how we'd like the stories to go but guess what? That's our problem, not the authors lol. They don't write for our expectations, they write their story the way that is their vision. I'm so tired of people shitting on Sarah for breathing. She can't do anything right. If she plans, it's wrong. If she doesn't plan, she's wrong. If she changes her plan midway to better plan for things, she's wrong. She literally can't win no matter what she does with her story/characters lol.
She's a good writer who creates worlds that keep us engaged and coming back for more. She isn't perfect. She isn't God. She's not free from criticism but when all people focus on is the criticism, there's nothing left to enjoy. We literally can't be excited about any new information because people just starting complaining immediately. It's frustrating. She has flaws in her writing like every other author on the planet. If you find yourself reading and criticizing an author more than enjoying them, maybe they are no longer for you.
She writes her story for herself and she has fun with it, which is something you can tell from her stories. She writes stories that make you feel things and that's what I'm here for.
