Joshua Tree with @levitationroom

Levitation Room played Pappy and Harriets this Saturday with The Creation Factory and Mystic Braves and my ‘Cleavage’ babes and I went along for the fun! We shared a rad house together and totally enjoyed being out in the desert with friends, also this was my first time in Joshua Tree and what better way to experience my first time there then with these lovely humans. 

The show was great, seeing these three rad bands play together in the desert night felt really good. Thanks Levitation Room!!!

Los Santoros- the magnificent Jossef, Carlos, Adolfo, Michael, Diego, and Marco 

I haven't done a band post in some time, kind of been keeping those to myself and the artist but I would really love to share this set with you. This past weekend I joined Los Santoros on a four day trip to Portland, San Francisco and Las Vegas and it was definitely an experience to remember, nothing beats being in a van with a band of men driving grand distances getting to know their moods/personalities. I'm also a sucker for looking at the land we are a part of so even being confined in a tight space was fun.

We drove approx. 964 miles to Portland from L.A, 638 miles from Portland to San Francisco, 568 miles from San Francisco to Las Vegas and 277 miles back home in four days, they played three amazing shows and we got to spend time and meet rad people throughout the way. I loved getting to know and blossomed a  love and understanding for the individualism of 6 very different men. I let myself feel feelings that I hadn't in awhile, I experienced things for the first time and through new experiences I always learn something new about myself, I fell in love, let myself get heartbroken and then fell in love with myself and life all over again. It was lovely.

When Jazz posted a selfie of her and Emily, I completely fell in love and was sure I wanted to shoot them together. Jazz and I spoke, I told her a bit of what I wanted to do and we set it up. It was awesome to get some pieces from Luna, she makes really cute lingerie. I had this idea on the eyeliner that I wanted them to have on and I was pretty stoked that we were able to accomplish that. They were great to work with, and smoking some bowls with them was a cherry on top.

When We’re Alone… with Angelica Rose & Taja Dietrich

I’ve been holding off on these for a few weeks now, and every night as I edit shoots I go back and look at this one and I fall in love all over again so it’s time I share it. I met Taja through Jelly, she was visiting from Australia and it was so lovely getting to meet her and spend time with her. We smoked lots of weed together, always always a plus during hangs & shoots.

Jelly and I spoke about the shoot a few days before, so the day of, we got right to it.

We took a break when Iggy brought us tacos, haha thanks Nacho :)

Working with these two lovely ladies was so great, they totally get me and the photos came out amazing. (Haha yes, I love my work. I’m totally not modest about that.)

I've known Jeff for a few year now, he's such a sweetheart and has the best cosmic vibes full of positivity. I also really appreciate his support of my work, it's lovely hearing others tell me that they share my photos with other people. Oh yeah! and he's one of my customers for my film developing services. I love him and I love his art. He's such a talented being.

A few weeks ago we spoke about setting up a day to hang out and shoot, he was being asked to get interviewed so we thought we would get some portraits done for him to use for that as well. The evening was so wonderful. We met at his house in Echo Park and decided to walk around his neighborhood and catch the sunset. Jeff is super photogenic, I was stoked on my captures.

I have met so many beautiful people because of what I do, Kylie came into my life so awesomely and she’s such a sweet heart. She’s dating Brandon from Voxwaves who I shot a few months back, we started talking and planned something pretty quickly after. I went to her place, we picked out some outfits, packed a bag of clothes and took a little walk around the neighborhood.

Quevin and I have been talking about setting up a shoot for awhile now, I was excited to get it happening. Quevin and Tony came over my house a week before and we discussed what they wanted. Quevin was very specific about wanting the photos to be candid and show more of who they are as individuals and friends.They are funny guys and they wanted to show that- "duddy" is the term haha

I thought about this set while I was trying to sleep a few weeks ago. I contacted Nester and Leen, we set up a date and I was stoked. I told Leen the feel I wanted to get, I wanted Nester in overalls so it was rad that Leen was able to make them for this. It was also perfect that Leen had just dyed her hair pink. It was going to look lovely.

Sofia and I met when I did the Soul Rebel Vintage shoot, she was one of the babes in the group. We've tried planning a solo shoot a few weeks back but it wasn't the right time. I was stoked that we were getting to do it now. I totally love love love Sofia's style so I wanted to stay hard with the clothes and the environment but still pretty. I had an idea on the locations and it totally worked out.

We met at my studio in DTLA, and I drove to the locations. I enjoyed my time with her, she's such a sweet heart and I love working with other photographers because we get to talk about cameras and our work and the lighting. This specific time I got to bond with her about the rush of changing your film in a pit while you're getting pushed around haha <3
