Even it was very quite here in the last month, we were not lazy. We’re working like cracy on our “Guardians of the Galaxy” Cosplays for the next FedCon. David will be Rocket and Tina will be Yondu and we already have finished some important costume parts, but there is still a lot to do!

DragonWorkshop is a part of an exhibition!

Today in Berlin was the opening of an exhibition in which we are involved. It’s about fairy tales as part of the “Berliner Märchentage” and Frodos Mithril chainmail and sword “Sting” are exhibited there. The exhibition will run until January. :)

Today we show you something of David’s work. He has recreated Frodo’s Mithril-chain mail. The chain mail consists of a mesh of approximately 130,000 stainless steel rings (OSH requirements) and was provided with a jewelery border. The golden curls are made of copper wire and tin. Finally the border was decorated with 777 glass stones - so tiny that sometimes the needle barely went through. All of them were individually knotted with a thread. For more details, we have made extra macro shots.
