     “better start remembering,” comes a grumbled response, any threat that would’ve followed dying amidst the frustration screwing features up. dark gaze returns to the older works he is still perusing through with no success, forefinger tapping against the canvas of one artwork. “alright. are we going to the library to try and fight for a study room, or are we going to give up immediately and just study in starbucks or something ?”

   there was something about the male that seemed a little shady to her but she would keep quiet for now until she had figured out what it was. ‘  no, you weren’t supposed to see that, ’ hummed the older girl. ‘  well, i should be going now.  ’ the girl began to walk forward before she advanced on him, her seraph blade touching his skin. if he was a demon, it would burn && she hadn’t actively stabbed him, she’d just placed by her blade right by his skin.

   ‘  that’s good to know,  ’ the shadowhunter nodded his head && his eyes scanned the area for any signs of what he had been searching for earlier on. ‘  no, i don’t think we have. i just know when someone needs help && i have the instinct to help them – he looked pretty pissed.  ’

      that was a first being told that, but she laughed anyway, even if she covered it behind her sleeve. beer was never her taste, but she had emptied out most of the bar’s WINE cellar in her time here. ‘sorry, i’ll still have to pass you up on that offer. dealing with mystery meat and roadkill meat has made me NAUSEOUS just thinking about it.’ she’d had plenty of fun just tracking down the supplies to really want to participate when the festival came.

                              ‘  uh  ,  no  i  was  just  …  just  tidying  stuff  ..  ’  he  lifts  his  hands  into  view  ,  full  of  small  miscellaneous  items  laying  around  the  bunk  ,  an  almost  sheepish  smile  accompanying  the  action  ,  ‘  i  thought  it’d  be  nice  if  the  place  was  ,  y’know  ,  tidier  ..  ’  eyebrows  furrow  for  a  second  ,  confusion  at  his  own  remark  before  the  other  speaks  again  ,  ‘  oh  …  yeah  ,  okay  .  ’  things  are  stranded  in  a  second  ,  placed  on  a  desk  before  adam  trails  out  of  the  room  ,  ‘  where  are  we  going  ??  ’

it’s me. as you can tell by the url change, i’m moving blogs. this one got too cluttered and it was making me stressed out, so i’m moving on over to @hiccoras !! same url, same disaster mun, a little bit of a different muse line-up.

each had held a clipboard and pencil. each had tested strangers all day. each had fed on so much fear they’d decided to call it a day and leave. besides, the day was getting darker, the crowds would be thinning out. from the moment watson and scott set out home, they felt the presence tailing them from a distance. of course they kept quiet right until the two stood outside the stranger’s house. not their own home. no.     ‘ do you feel better now, having been escorted home ??  ’     watson spoke first, not moving from gazing at the building. it was scott who turned to look at the other with a smile.     ‘ it’s a bit strange to follow people like this. you wouldn’t want someone to think you’re a stalker, would you ?? ’

bean had just wanted to see if they were real. if the watson girl that had asked him about his deepest secrets was a real person and not just one of his friends pulling a cruel trick. the teen had thought he was slick, following them from far enough away that he’d be able to hide or look inconspicuous if they turned around and saw him. they hasn’t been heading toward his father’s house, so he hadn’t suspected anything. until the stopped in front of youngsoo’s. something about this situation makes bean feel sick- a sour feeling immediately settling into his stomach. he could understand it being a mean prank if they had gone to his dad’s but only niall and ben know where youngsoo lives.

                              there’s  something  to  be  said  about  self-discovery (  &&  what  triggers  it  ) in  youth  ;;  take  bonjae  ——  when  bean’s  departure  all  those  years  ago  left  bonjae  with  an  ache  in  his  heart  nothing  could  cure  ,  he  had  gone  out  of  his  mind  in  attempts  to  figure  out  why  it  was  .  was  it  the  fact  that  his  (  then  )  girlfriend  wouldn’t  have  bitch  complain  about  bean  anymore  ??  with  complete  honesty  ,  he  had  stopped  trying  to  understand  it  ,  rather  chalk  it  up  to  weird  hormones  .  but  then  he  gets  the  letter  .  &&  at  first  ,  it  sits  in  his  dresser  ,  a  wound  memory  that  he’s  hesitant  to  rehash  .  it  isn’t  until  his  team  won  the  first  game  the  next  season  &&  the  alcohol  is  deep  within  him  that  it’s  opened  .  &&  it  doesn’t  matter  how  wrong  it  feels  for  him  to  read  it  ,  it’s  one last  connection  that  he  can  keep  to  bean  .

                                 the  idea  of  seeing  bean  in  person  was  a  concept  that  set  him  on  edge  &&  his  head  spinning  .  what  if  bean  had  changed  ,  beyond  recognition  ??  what  if  he  came  back  spiteful  of  the  world  around  him  ??  the  entire  money  is  spent  tense  &&  distracted  (  he’s  pretty  sure  he  failed  his  spanish  exam  that  he  completely  forgot  to  study  for  .  )  the  tension  doesn’t  release when  his  friends  tease  him  about  it  , attempting  to  make  out  the  contexts  of  the  baby  blue  envelope  in  his  hands  .  it  doesn’t  let  up  when  he  gets  a  text  from  his  mother  reminding  him  to  say  hello  to  the  old  friend  for  her  .  NO  !!  the tension  finally  lets  up  when  a  familiar  voice  meets  his  ears  &&  he  whips  around  ,  returning  the  wave  to  bean  .  ‘ hey !! beanstalk !! ’

part of him wants to grin at the goofy nickname- something from their childhood that bonjae still carries around, like an old photograph. or a letter in a baby blue envelope. such letter that still draws bean’s eye, his attention focused on its presence instead of on bonjae. this should be a happy reunion, but instead it sits in his stomach like a piece of lead, or a rock. 

it takes quite a bit of effort to force himself to smile. surely it looks like he’s not happy to see bonjae ( which isn’t the case ) and for that bean feels bad. it’s been years. they’re both different now. and bonjae knows. bonjae knows. is it better to play it cook or acknowledge it? bean doesn’t know. he wishes he was allowed to contact youngsoo or heeyoung so he could ask but it’s ‘ too soon ’ .
