Piece I made for the 6th anniversary of magia record! It’s also the 10th anniversary of Rebellion too I believe!

I based this off of homuras last lines in the movie. She holds onto Madoka, lamenting over what she’s done. Because that yellow bowed Madoka is obedient, wary, and closed off. Which is what Homura wants.

But that’s not Madoka.

It doesn’t have her spontaneity, her bravery, her unconditional love, it doesn’t have any of the things Homura loves in Madoka.

best case scenario Digital Circus gets remembered in a similar way as Steven Universe: a show that was Really Fucking Good and had nuanced characters and interesting things to say, but the audience wasn't quite ready for it and it imploded into a discourse ball. four years from now I expect to see lesbians drawing Jax like she's a renaissance muse the same way people still draw Pearl or Lapis
