“you’re gonna go broke young.” brendon shook his head, though he couldn’t have meant it any less than he did. he, if anyone, was one to blow cash on the most wasteful of purchases. copious amounts of cocaine and three truly not needed fender speakers were only a couple small drops in the bucket of his credit card. the glass cylinders strained against the flex of his leather jacket, the older of the two instead allowing the bottles to dangle between his fingers as he followed hailey toward the loosely defined wine and refreshment section. he didn’t really know why he still hung around her short of the fact that he was just genuinely compelled to ring her phone most of the time, his hand working on reflex before he was barking some vague order through the phone that she always managed to reply to in a way that never completely gave him the upper hand. it was quite fascinating. finding a stray cart, he placed both bottles in the metal casing before placing the majority of his weight on the handle. “go to the vintages, left, you’ll easily drop 300.” he instructed, giving a few passersby a grade a grin just for the sake of it.

You know, I had an idea that was why you left –– but I wasn’t sure. Now I know the truth. It’s nothing you have to hide away, my love. Especially if it means going to all these extents to make me jealous, which I hate to admit, works.

“vodka? are you serious? you’re fucking gross.” brendon mumbled toward the girl standing to his left, nevertheless reaching up to the top shelf to wrap his fingers around the neck of one of the IDOL brand bottles. he carelessly tucked it under his arm as his free hand went straight for the dank tasting whiskey in arm’s reach. “don’t come crying to me when you’re sad, horny and taste like rubbing alcohol.” he jeered as he circled around the younger once again, his hand grazing her side when he spoke in a lowered tone. resuming his normal authoritative echo, he blew a soft sigh through closed lips as he took a quick inventory of what they’d collected. “i’m good, you good?”

Honestly, didn’t even know you were gone. But, welcome back, I guess. Who’s your long lost lover on the other side of the ocean?

I’m a little upset because I haven’t been able to see your gorgeous face, but I think I can get over it. Now who is this lover you’re talking about?

brendon: well that would give you the upper hand and that's not gonna happen

hailey: i am very upset about this and

hailey: very shocked with the fact that you'd actually kill me

brendon: mostly just because everyone around here is a netflix and pizza kind of person

brendon: and you're a sparkling wine and ecstasy type of person

hailey: did you see the 'older men' gif ;);) that was for you bae #goals

hailey: i sound like trash is that the only good thing about me

brendon: literally thought you died

hailey: but here she is again in the flesh
