glancing around between them, elijah let his mind wander for a short moment; attempting imagining what he'd do if henry ever did post a problem, although he couldn't really make himself believe it - simply due to the way the other had integrated himself into their group. did he have bad days? almost everybody did, right? but he was trying & elijah saw that. he did good work outside, too - one of the few in the group not afraid to get his hands dirty. he was an asset & elijah wanted to keep it like that.
"yeah, 's all good." he lowered himself close-by, keeping his distance from the fire, legs crossed underneath himself. "how you been holdin' up? everythin' goin' okay? anythin' you need or want b'sides red meat an' good booze?" they couldn't really get either anymore. or maybe ...just not right now. elijah hoped that someone ..somewhere was better equipped for this; some farm or ranch able to keep livestock & crops alive through all this. maybe one day they'd see for themselves.
"Thank fuck..." Henry let out a soft sigh, thankful the other wasn't tossing him out or something. He'd been doing the best he possibly could since he's been here, trying to calm his anger the best he could, too. But sometimes it let slip, and he'd always apologize after by getting a gift for the person he exploded on. "So far so good, man... Just trying to survive the best I possibly can, one day at a time, eh?" His Canadian accent slipped out, despite trying so hard to hide it and get away from that bit of his life. He let his thumb run over his fingers as he stared at the fire for a moment, trying to figure out if he wanted or needed anything else. "Just some company I guess, y'know? .... I'm not that bad of a guy anymore, you know... Or at least I try not to be. You can move in a bit closer if you want. Not gonna fuckin' bite your ear off.." He teased, giving an almost toothy grin.
