codependent relationship — they’re abusive and violent and needy and desperate

high school au — muse a is the bad boy/girl and muse b is the religious prude and muse a corrupts them

muse a is a reformed drug addict trying to get clean and muse b is heavy into drugs and brings them back into the scene

ravers

muse a has an eating disorder and addictions and muse b tries to save them from themselves

muse a is jaded from a childhood of being put down. they become an absolute emotionally vacant perfectionist. muse b has to convince them that they are vulnerable and sensitive.

muse a is a wo/manizer who can charm the pants off anybody. they finds one person (muse b) they can’t charm, and they chase after muse b. muse b thinks they’re pathetic.

college au — muse a is a strong liberal, muse b is conservative and opinionated about it. they have a sociology class together and arguments ensue.

invisible monsters au — a pair travel across the country coming up with fake names and stealing prescription pills from homes they visit before leaving the next day. they run into trouble of some kind (possibly one of their exes who finds out what they’re doing and threatens to expose them).

muse a is completely burnt out on the city. they came right after college and now just want to get the hell out. they spend their nights alone at a pub drinking, when one day muse b catches their eye. they are intrigued by muse b and just watches them from a distance for a while. muse a will eventually get the courage to buy muse b a drink.

muse a runs away and stumbles across muse b who takes them in and lets them live at his place. it’s a cramped studio apartment full of like 7 drug addicts and dealers. a deal goes wrong for one of the patrons and muse b ends up killing the drug lord by accident. they both then have to run before the police show up.

what started as a nameless drunken hookup turns into something more when muse a’s car is stolen along with the keys to their apartment. they show up to find out the apartment has been picked clean. they then are forced to live with the nameless hookup (muse b) until they can get back on their feet.

muse a’s mother dies and father loses his job so muse a, the oldest child, has to go into prostitution to make ends meet. either a client or police officer (muse b) takes them in and offers them a place to stay and money to take care of their family if they promise to stop selling themself for money.

muse a accidentally kills a person in a car accident. years later, muse a is terribly guilty and has become an alcoholic. they find comfort in the bartender (muse b) at the local pub. little do they know that muse b’s twin was the one they killed.

siblings/step-siblings — mixed signals, confusion, stolen kisses, hooking up at family events, etc.
