Is Lady Luck on your side?

Some… What? Deoxys took the opportunity to take a double-take - it didn’t seem like there was anyone else around for him to be offering drinks to. Why offer it to some stranger, though, even it it was in its disguise?

It pointed to itself after a moment, furrowing its brow in confusion.

  "No, I'm talking to the wall behind you." Sarcasm absolutely dripped from his words as he stared at the other, smirk on his lips, as it almost always was. After a bit he shook his head.

Grimsley was a member of the Elite Four, and Ghetsis knew better than to forget that. Despite Bisharp having a type-diasdvantage to fire type moves, he was certain that the pokemon would get to her feet. However, he couldn’t give Grimsley any chance for counterattack.

Hydreigon flew to the side of the smoke— he knew as well as his trainer did, staying to wait and see if an attack hit was never a good idea. A roar left the dragon’s mouths— Damn. Bisharp had landed a partial hit, and Hydreigon was able to send that Flame Burst at point blank. “Fantastic, Bisharp! What they say about the pokemon of the Elite Four is more than true— I have not faced a pokemon with power like yours in a while.”

  "Aerial Ace." Bisharp seemed to reveal herself, coming from above as she readied to strike. She made no noise, though they were both certian one of them would probably notice her. Grimsley at least hoped it would take enough time for her to at least get in close, and maybe land another attack, and he knew for a fact that whether she hit or missed, she would jump away quickly.

He noted the Bisharp— how could he not? She definitely had a battle cry. “No items, held or otherwise. I can agree to these terms. I, too, enjoy a good challenge. Is it not in the nature of the ambitious to always break through their previous limits?” This would be interesting. Considering the fact that this Bisharp seemed to have a very close connection with Grimsley—

Perhaps Grimsley had been through a similar past as the Harmonian King? No one was certain of Grimsley’s past. Except Grimsley, and he clearly never told anyone. 

"Hydreigon, descend!"

The large dual Dark-Dragon type had been exploring the higher levels of Grimsley’s room. With a roar, he hovered at his trainer’s side.

"Hydreigon, this is Grimsley and Bisharp. They are to be our opponents in battle today." A rumbling noise from the dragon’s throats made the King laugh— "Ah, Hydreigon, Grimsley has been kind enough to allow us this one on one. So, be on your best."

Nodding to Grimsley, the King flashed a genuine smile toward the other— “I do hope I will be able to provide more entertainment than a solo trip to a bar or a casino. And I am glad that I can meet upon even grounds with a trainer like you— Bisharp is fond of you, is she not?”

  "There's nothing I can find that gives me the thrill of a good gamble. Not even battling. But, I guess I don't have much choice but to humor you, no?" He was quiet for a bit longer, before deciding to make a first move.

  "Bisharp, X-Scissor." The Pokemon complied, the blades on her arms glowing before she lunged at Hyderigon, determination in her eyes, Grimsley keeping a close eye on both Pokemon battling.
