The fact that Hetalia had potential with its concept of personified countries during WWII but instead became a gag series that made light of WWII and various other time periods, along with jokes of sexual harassment/rape, fan shipping because almost evety character is a hot guy, and the occasional sad moments in the series is depressing. Not to memtion how the Axis Powers are portrayed in a way to make viewers sympathetic to them, even though Germany was under Nazism and wanted to exterminate Jewish people, the Roma, the gay and disabled, Japan wanted to expand an empire, and Italy was under fascist rule. If taken more seriously, and if the series were actually set in WWII, it would’ve been an interesting to see Germany being conflicted on his following orders from Hitler and his disgust of the “Final Solution”, considering that each country has a mixed bag of different political beliefs or regional values, not just one or two stereotypes like in the manga/anime.

#Seriously if a character is supposed to be white they will be named WHITIE MCWHITERSON #and wear an american flag hoodie shirt pants socks underwear and scream stuff in english every 5 seconds
In Modaozushi all the characters look very Chinese, and Banana Fish, that's a good show if you want to see whites, Asians and blacks looking accurate.
Imagine male! JYL with his brothers Wei Ying and Jiang Cheng, he is seen as average looking and a weak cultivator, he thinks he is a disappointment to his family but he never really envied JC and WY's cultivator skills nor their looks, he is proud of his siblings. YZY's harsh words hurts, but he still maintained a sweet smile. JC and WY are overprotective for their older brother.
Jiang Yanli is the best brother anyone could ask for.
He was kind and patient and affectionate. He gave them piggyback rides when they were tired and made them yummy treats when they were hungry and wiped their tears away when they were sad. Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng loved him more then anything.

He was also alone when trying to cope with his sister’s death and the upbringing of Jin Ling. He feels insecure and inferior to Wei Wuxian, but he still needs him to say he cares for him and will stay by his side despite everything. But now he seems like he’s attached to Lan Wangji and Jiang Cheng will never be special to anyone. His pride also gets in the way of opening his heart, so it’s difficult for him to voice his feelings and realize that he is loved.

While I get that this is something that happens in almost all “Japanese style” animations, I do wish that there was more variation between character designs in mdzs. There are literally like 2 face and body types for females (depending on whether or not the character is a hoe) and there are about 3 male face types (excluding the super young/super old). Body types p much the same all around except hoes get jugs and nie mingjue gets buff pecks. All in all, most characters are just recolourations
