More usuk love. These two can not be more different but also can not be more alike from each other. And I think it's moreso they have the same thoughts/interests but the way they express them is so different. They both love fiction and cliches, but America likes sci-fi and England likes fantasy. They both love horror, but America is terrified of ghosts and England loves them. They both love fast food/junk food, but America likes it every day while England tries to eat it more moderately (he also doesn't like admitting to it). They're both very egotistical, but America sees himself as the hero and main character, while England sees himself as the black sheep who doesn't need anyone else (they both desperately need everyone's approval).
I think what makes them so appealing to me and others is that yes they fall under the opposites attract trope, because their mannerisms and behavior are so drastically different. However, unlike some other ships that I do enjoy, these two have very similar interests and opinions and views that they would also function well in a relationship. They're different, but they would also both go to conventions together or have a quiet night in with England crocheting and America working on rocket models.
