Last post of the day, since I won't be writing today anyway

Current inspiration. As an Indian American, I rarely read books that are informed by personal experiences similar to mine. This is about a Gujarati family living in the States. Will you love it if you aren't Gujarati? Of course, but he handles so many important immigrant issues so gracefully and, really, gently, that I almost feel sorry that other readers won't experience this added layer. 

This is the beginning of a story for my writers' group. We're trying out a theme this time (*water*). I have until June 5th to finish. Most of this was written on Monday and Tuesday--number of hours spent procrastinating today? All of them.

So I watched this today as I was procrastinating on a story, and it has inspired me to do more "sharing," not just of complete work for praise and (probably? some? hopefully not much?) ridicule, but work in progress as well. That's what I want to do here.
