First of all, if anyone wants to maybe talk about the show, please. I think the people around me are probably getting tired of me talking into the void about it. Someone told me about a concerning cooking they’ve been watching and then after that conversation, I said something like “oh, I’ve been watching a show with concerning cooking too. So, have you heard of…”

Anyways, What is Hannibal even doing? Is he a therapist or a psychiatrist? I know he’s a medical doctor, former surgeon who had to quit cause he was too hungry or whatever, but what’s going on now? People call him both, he talks to people, does he ever prescribe anything? (Other than just dragging random people, not sure that technically counts as prescribing)

I am being absolutely slain by those little transitions they keep having that are basically like “oh no, where could this kidney possibly be?” and then immediately here’s Hannibal in the kitchen showing us how to dice a kidney! Totally unrelated, I’m sure It reminds me so much of those recipe blogs that have a photo between each step. Especially when there was that whole list of organs and we kept flip flopping back and forth.

Also the fucking Rolodex of business cards with the box of recipe notes is just perfect

Hannibal called Freddie Lounds rude and something in the back of my brain was expecting his jaw to unhinge and he just bites her head off

Hannibal really is out here every so often just showing up to look directly at his weekend project and go “wow, who could’ve done that?”, it’s wild

And I love how chill everyone is about Will’s process. The dude shows up on a weekly basis looking incredibly miserable and/or fucked, asking to lay down alone on the bloody bed or whatever and talk to himself about ‘his design’ and everyone’s just like “oh yay! Get him a tarp, we’ll have this murder solved in no time! : )”

Also I’m impressed with the sfx people, they’re doing great work, it’s disgusting, at some point I need to pry myself away from watching the show to see if I can find videos about the creation of some of that stuff cause that stuffs so interesting

I really love the puppies, they’re so adorable, I really hope nothing happens to them. I’m a little scared. I will cry

Alana and Will kissing was not really my favorite hentai of Pennywise, as the phrase goes. I was kinda watching it like Alana, you can do better. Will, you can do… I’m not sure if ‘better’ is the word. Worse? Different? In my opinion, just could do something other than this. If this is anyone’s favorite hentai of Pennywise though, that’s great and I encourage them to have fun in the sandbox with it

Hannibal’s hobbies really seem to include high-effort cannibalism, making inside jokes about said cannibalism with himself, and making Will worse. However, if you look at Will’s face, he looks like he has some fairly mixed feelings about some of those hobbies. He looks miserable, and also, some of those expressions of his? I’m glad hes living his best porn star dreams, but this is a scene about vomiting up a severed ear

I also had a list of various half formed things I knew about the show before watching it, so I’m also gonna go back through those

local man named Hannibal does cannibalism, to the surprise of… apparently some people?

the other man is named Will and he’s a sad wet dog soaked in blood who adopts other dogs to raise with his cannibalistic therapist

at one point they try adopting a human adult but I guess that doesn’t work out so they cut their losses, eat her, and go back to raising dogs?

they have like an insanely long commute?

the therapist is rich, the sad wet dog says ‘eat the rich’, the therapist doesn’t have much room to judge on the matter of eating people

there might be other characters?

there’s something with mushrooms? Not sure how much drugs is in each episode but the mushrooms seemed to be an important moment to people

some naked torture scene had to stop being improvised cause it was getting too gay. Not totally sure what they were expecting from the naked torture scene in the gay show, but I don’t know, here we are

antlers? People like antlers which makes sense, they look cool

it seems to be described by people who’ve seen it similarly to how people describe Supernatural, it’s sort of just… a thing that happened to them. And I’ve been watching Supernatural for half my life, so probably time for a new thing to happen to me, right?
