I don't know if it's allowed but I've been playing the CK3 ASOIAF mod and it allows me to have matrilineal marriages so this is a matrilineal marriage between Nora and Laurent, as the new and old gods intended. I thought it'd be funny if Nora's dragon was like Balerion but her's just, Diabolos the Dread ya feel me... if you know u know.

Moving on, whilst doing some silly research on the Wiki I found out there used to be sea dragons???? i'm shaking george, I dont care about winds of winter i just want more dragon lore pleaseeeeee

I've been having a lot of trouble drawing lately, it just feels herculean and i'm going thru a widdle vicious circle. Buuut I wanted to show more of the adops i've been cooking :) This one's supposed to be a Lannister x Targaryen babygirl, her dragon should resemble a lil lion cub, i thought that'd be cute. I'm using medieval dress designs as the bases for their designs but I do feel like they are rather simple? But then again the designs on the TV shows are simple too but I'm too obsessed with tailoring to allow that ya feel me... much 2 think about.

It's 02:35 at the time of typing this post and you know what that means, almost oversharing as a form of self humiliation ritual to reach desperately any form of emotional catharsis.

However, life is beautiful and it's past 9pm which means none of my exhaustion and burn out enhanced thoughts about me, my life or my work are valid. (or are they?)

Also, I wanted to ask, do you have any tips on ways/resources to get better at drawing? I've been drawing passively for a handful of years now, but I never bothered to try improving much until somewhat recently but I'm feeling a bit lost on what to do/where to look to slowly start improving.

As for drawing resources... I'd say Pinterest is still your best bet for now! (i'm unsure of what you'd like to learn in specific though) .

This is what my Pinterest board for anatomy looks like. Which has everything I, personally, want to reach out for when I'm drawing, and I find myself at a loss. I enjoy tailoring to my needs what I need instead of general learning (but then again i've given up on a studio job/art career, so my focus is to hone whatever skill of art I enjoy the most!)

Nothing feels worth on the internet that more?? Tumblr has more or less managed to take me back to the comfort of being among sickos and sad quotes ,gif sets or aes photos to reblog on my sideblog. But apart from that, everything feels like it has to be monetised and viable and a side hustle 😭​😭​ I was looking for a camera and everything was too expensive for what it's worth too. Everything feels like a rat race, hobonichi's subreddit ins insufferable with "hauls" and "384938€ spent on hobonihci omg!!"

Ok so, after 4 years i'm sort of back to my island. I named it Zanado and the idea I had 4 years ago was to make the whole lot of Sothis's kids and herself. To that end, the villagers were meant to match my vision of the saints and apostles. Sort of, hopefully, wishfully. Anyway, here re the matches.

sherb - Indech (like how i draw him as a kid) Ankha - Sothis Leopold - Seteth/Cichols (DUH...) Bob - Macuil?? I originally got Raymond to be macuil and i had Bob bc i love bob but he kinda matches better i wasn't expecting Raymond to be nice lol. Diva - IDK shes just cunty Bree - Flayn/Cethleann ( I still need to get her, alas)

As you can see the whole purpose of staying on theme did not last bc i find marshal and molly to be the cutiest patooties. I got the DLC to be able to customise their houses, too, so I can use my main house as uhhh as my medieval fort.

I mostly feel the need to apply historical outfitting to each Westerosi house since I feel the TV shows did a bit of a poor job + also being obsessed with valyrians and their dragons so I really want to see what a valyrian would look if they were to belong to a big house etc!!

I've been using medieval up to early rococo art for references, as well as medieval revival artworks/series to fulfil the "fantasy/whimsy" side of a fantasy story.

There's something particularly foul about the period of time between Christmas Eve and Thee Wise men day in Spain (so from 24st to 5st) where everything becomes a confusing amalgamation of brain fog and liminal time and space.

Given that, I'm not too particularly thrilled about 2026 but not dreading it either. I'd like for my mother's health to improve this year but I sincerely fear that it won't and that sort of ruins the year ahead for me. I also have to move flats, and I've got a big life changing exam season coming March, so there is that!!! The best 2026 can offer me right now is to have at least 1 day a week when everything stays mildly calm. True meaning of adulthood is just begging for a full 5h where no one requires your attention.

As for personal plans that don't involve school or work, i'd say I'd like to be more offline. I don't like being on the computer that much any more, it doesn't feed my soul, so to say. I did mean it when I said I wanted to become a XXI century abbess of sorts. Just me and the stupid TBR i have waiting for me to read (20+ books... Christ) which I'm excited for, don't get me wrong, it's just that the thought of the most simple of tasks overcomes me the way rats did in Venice during the plague. I also have a big embroidery project to complete and my ren faire outfit that I doubt will see the light anytime soon.

Following on the feverish intent of turning into an abbess and looking forward to the new FE3H game, I've also dusted my old notes and books for my Saints of Seiros book. I have many ideas to the point where it became overwhelming, did I mention i'm learning 3D so I can sculpt archaeological artifacts such as marble busts and amphorae so the book can look as closely as possible as a museum's? What the helll dude... alright, let's roll with that.

Also I'm unfortunately back to enjoying political theory, can't shut up won't shut up. I often fantasize with disappearing into the woods thus becoming a cryptic, wouldn't that be lovely and a lil haunting... it's peak.

as for the year's first week, I spent it trying to maintain my vagus nerve's stress to a tolerable state and facing the dread of the inevitable mind fog and fighting the benadryl voices telling me that I'm not worth my time or any body's time! but that's ok!! BUUUUUT , been thinking about the Saints a bit. IMO as we all know by now, to me they are all Sothis's youngest children. Chichol being the oldest, followed by Macuil, then Indech, and finally Seiros as the youngest baby.

Going by their names, All of them but Seiros are named after figures in Celtic mythology (Needed mention to Saint Cethleann too). I do like the thought that each quartet/set of children of the goddess represent or are named after some classic culture, but the names of the Apostles contradict this, unless they made up names as a disguise. There's also that part which each saint represent a particular thing too....

Also, Macuil canonically being close to Noa?? T_T that's so cute, baby brother who loves magic learning from big sis who also loves magic. But also a big fan of how Noa just used him as an excuse later on in her life after the war, like damn ok I see where Macuil got his bitterness from. Love this for them.

Indech is a bit more obscure too, so it's hard contrasting the due information from internet sources so it means i'll have to read whatever articles or books i can find which i wish i had all the time of the world but life wont allow me to have the slightest break!!!

But apart from that, Indech's a Formorian King (if any of you remember the old art i did of him you see that in some of his modern AU's clothes there's a wink to this) and had at least 2 kids.

Also isn't it funny there was basically smut written of the 3 male saints so the humans could enjoy themselves (Book of Comely saints)

Sadly, Celtic mythos doesn't offer much for cultural or religious syncretism which makes my task harder but not for it less interesting and thrilling lol. I love hyperfixations, and digging deeper research holes.

So I've been thinking a lot lately about Sothis and her progeny, if only to give my head a break from the harrowing Christmas season 2025 has thrown at me. Anyway, ever since the new FE3H game got announced, and which I believe to be a prequel and not a sequel for many a reason I shan't go into much detail with here, I've been thinking about IRL cultures that could've possibly inspired her and the Nabateans.

Her name is the Greek version of the goddess Sophdet (personification of the star Sirius etc) and Sophdet herself is, at times, syncretised with Isis and Demeter, as seen below. Yet Zanado has Ziggurats (as seen in the concept art) and aqueducts (ingame battle scenarios) so what gives!!! Now, if if I had to go for any known civilisations that could possibly gather all of these landmarks, I'd say to Ptolemaic Egypt could be my main choice. A place on earth where Greeks, Egyptians, and Romans mixed and matched. Would this explain the Ziggurats? Not really, however, following this lead, we can drift our attention to the legendary and noteworthy Semiramis.

While I don't think my English is good enough to go on and on about her, and the Wikipedia article already does a wonderful job, I'd stay it's a solid lead. As you could've read, she is mostly relevant, adored and talked about throughout a rather considerable portion of classical history. From Assyria to Egypt and then all the way to Libya.

But! I also believe we shouldn't ignore the Minoans with their snake godess and the many peoples of the sea.

This has taken me to take into major consideration the Phoenicians, Etruscas and even Tartessans into consideration more than the own Nabateans, Egyptians or Greeks themselves.
