S.P.I.C.E for Black & Ethnic Minority Lesbian, Bisexual & Trans women-S.P.I.C.E (Sisters Promoting Identity, Culture and Empowerment) is a social/support group for Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans & Queer women of colour.Â
S.P.I.C.E aims to:
- Increase the visibility of lesbian, bisexual, Trans and queer women within the black and minority ethnic communities. - challenge the prejudice and intolerance within society through education and activism.
- Provide a space for you to be yourself.
- Be a group for you to have fun and participate in various activities (all suggestions very welcome!)
- Go on day trips; nights out (scene and non-scene); dining out; Theatre; Cinema; Bowling - whatever you like! (These can be alcohol and alcohol free events to ensure everyone can participate.)
We at S.P.I.C.E are a friendly bunch and you will be greeted to our group with smiles and nibbles!! All LBTQ women of black and minority ethnic origins along with partners are welcome!
We meet on the last Friday of each month at The Equity Centre in Bradford to socialise, make friends and spend time with like minded woman for a non-judgmental and fun evening.Â
The Equity Centre provides a safe environment ensuring your privacy is respected and your safety is promoted. S.P.I.C.E provides support to those that need it through sharing experiences and promoting strength and unity.

JUICE: June 2018 Recap
Pride Month ain’t know what hit it. JUICE - a summer day jawn for queer and trans womxn of color - came back for its second year at Life Do Grow Farm on Saturday, June 9, 6-11PM. Intersecting art, music, and cultural celebration, the Pride edition of JUICE was our biggest production yet!
A vision of a more inclusive Pride festival, JUICE featured: a lineup of diverse poets and musical acts; a film showing at dusk inside Philly Urban Creators’ new geodome (sponsored by Party Headphones); a farm-to-table vegan eatery by Earf; a custom printmaking station, curated by Philadelphia Printworks; a queer community marketplace, featuring Trans Equity Project, Rejected Society, and more; complimentary Tito’s Vodka; and an interactive art gallery.
Philly came out and did y’all thang at JUICE! We at her philly moves had an AMAZING time, and we hope you did too! We want to give a special thank you to our amazing volunteers who kept the event going strong! You got tha JUICE!
