Quinn should know by now that Rachel rarely if ever walked on the wild side. It isn’t as if she were proposing that they run away for good, or for a long period of time. “Rachel, I’m not asking for your hand in marriage,” she says with a bit of a chuckle. “I’m just asking if you want to go with me for a little while. Not forever.” Though she’d been told not to test her new powers until she’d seen a doctor, she had done small things such as, push time up or back a few minutes. She’d started out with just a few seconds. Then she’d gone into a few minute’s time.

“Oh, I’m sorry. I get what you’re saying now. Uh    are you sure this is a good idea though? You know, after what happened to you maybe we should... find another way to engage in a social activity together that doesn’t involve getting lost in a era we don’t belong to.”

That’s true, sister. There’s nothing like winter fashion. Are you kidding me? I’m sure you look adorable. But, that doesn’t have mean we have to be covered in snow to wear cute sweaters, am I right?

Thing is, when she turns to the blonde and their eyes meet, Rachel realizes she’s talking seriously. “Quinn?” Rachel asks tentatively, looking at her like she’ll reveal that this is, in fact, a joke any moment now.

I actually like the snow better. I have too many extremely cute sweaters, that my friends are so jealous of that they have always wanted to burn them, and the winter is never long enough to wear all of them.

Ah, so you’re Rachel, I’ve heard that I should keep my eye out for you and here you are. Have to say, not disappointed at all and adding the Mr gets you points. No, it’s not the best but hey, what can you do, evil assholes trying to kidnap and kill people come around everyday, they just don’t normally come after people with powers.

So I’m guessing there’s quite a few of you here that are all gifted with some grand ol’ powers. And color me curious, I want to know what you can all do. I guess I can start off, James Ashcroft, twenty five and illusion manipulator. 

Hello Mr. Ashcroft, I’m Rachel Barbra Berry.  The circumtances that led to this are definitely not the best, but it’s nice to meet you and I’m super excited to have new people in our golden superhero squad.

It definitely gave me an appreciation for the people I have in my life, even you, Berry. I had an appreciation for the dramatics - missed them even. I mean if you turned them on they’d still be a bit annoying and dramatic, but eh, almost cute. 

I’m glad you’re able to take something good from it despite the fact that it must have been one of the worst experiences of your life. 

Please, I won while drunk. You shoulda seen it coming, Berry. While you may have the most extensive vocabulary of anyone I’ve ever known, no one beats me in my knowledge of curse words. 

True, but we have been friends for what feels like my entire life and you have never bothered yourself to save me from listening to you cruelly murdering our language so my knowledge should be as extensive at this point. Plus, I have been living in New York long enough to have my vocabulary corrupted permanently. For example, I curse in my head all the time.

Yeah, I know you have a flare for the dramatics, and I find that flare almost cute actually. What…what’s happening? How long have I been out reach? For me it seems like just yesterday…

I’m confused too, believe me. I was slowing time to make a break for it before anyone could get to me, and I was in not only in another place but another time. I don’t know how. I don’t know why, but I was not here anymore, and how I got back or what I did to do so? I have no clue. I’m happy to be back, the 60s weren’t my favorite era to be in. 

I’m terribly sorry for that, Quinn, and while I have never been in this kind of situation I can only imagine it was absolutely terrifying. But - and despite the fact that we both know I have a flair for the dramatic, you’ll soon enough discover I’m not exagerating at all- it would have been better if you had stayed in the 60s. Our world is just... a chaos right now.
