â â move kid, @heroooic ! ( s.c. â open! )
he had heard about the crime in the achimedes ward, particularly in lower levels where the lowest of the scum live. so genos wanders, aiming to fight for justice as he has back home. granted, today saitama was busy with his day job, and he had told genos that even in a foreign world, it isnât like genos should forget the fact heâs a hero (the truth is, saitama simply wanted to distract genos for the day).
yellow eyes scan the dark streets. a frown slowly slips into his expression. itâs strangely quiet. his scanners pick up life nearby hidden in the buildings. he can feel, without his software, the eyes of the many people there staring at him. he clearly didnât belong, which he knew and the others knew, and they didnât welcome him, but, genos trudges on, ignoring the judgmental gazes of the people around him.
he pivots when he senses increased activity not far away. without hesitation, he begins sprinting, albeit at a normal, human pace, towards the source of the struggle. he stops in front of an alley, eyes narrow, prepared for a fight. there, he sees a strange child with a plastic sword and a metal arm about to engage in battle.Â
âhey, get out of here, kid!â genos shouts, heading into the alley. parts glow as his machinery readies itself for a fight against the thugs ganging up against the young kid. he assumes a fighting stance.Â
âi will exterminate them.â
Itâs not like heâs out looking for trouble. Itâs more like heâs looking for something to do, and if that involves finding trouble and beating it to a pulp, who is he to complain? Fun is fun and kicking the snot out of bad guys is one of those things.
Lo and behold, he finds troubles when heâs neither looking nor entirely prepared for it. Sure, itâs probably his fault for taking a stroll exactly where he was told the criminal scum of the Archimedes District lives, but hey, itâs a little late to be pointing fingers now. One or two goons? No problem. Three, four, five? Easy pickinâs if he had a decent sword. That many when he has nothing but a piece of cheap plastic, however, might be a little dangerous.
Whatever. Heâs got this. In fact, heâs so got this that he tells the guy whoâs probably just trying to save his butt. âNah, dude. Itâs cool. I got this.â And he does for a second or two, until his stupid plastic sword is snapped in half. Itâs not like he hasnât done hand-to-fist-to-face combat before, but the splinters of plastic in his face throw him off for a second.
âOkay, I shouldâve been ready for that, but I totally â got this!â
Honestly, he shouldâve just punched them with his metal arm in the first place. That hurts a lot more than a baby toy.
