(I feel like this is the right place to put the discussion, due to people saying "as long as it's tagged properly" but... I can't find any tag for nsfw pieces, other than #mcyt smut (which is primarily dsmp), #itlwartnsfw, and #suggestive. If OP would like me to move somewhere else, feel free to dm me, and I'll move to my own post.)

I'd like to propose a new tag to be used, both for filtering purposes and searchability. #hermitshipping does this wonderfully for, well, shipping. If I don't want to see hermitshipping, I can filter that tag out. But if I do want to see hermitshipping, I can search that tag to find what I want to reblog.

There's no tag for nsfw content, and it's much harder to find if you're looking for it. It's also weird on the creator's end, since I don't want to maintag something that also includes sexual content, but I do want it to be perceived, and liked, and shared between consenting adults.

I'm hesitant to follow the #itlwartnsfw route, due to Tumblr blocking tags that include "nsfw" on its own (so #mcyt nsfw would not work, but #mcytnsfw would. I'd just be worried that those tags would eventually get blocked). And while I know the word "sex" doesn't quite envelop things in the same way "nsfw" does, I do think tags like #hermitsex could be an option. (Side note, I do not think #trafficsex would be reasonable, due to the implications of those words together) Alternatively, if we don't like that sort of tag, we could go with #mcytsmut #hermitsmut and #trafficsmut.
