Part two: please read part one before you read part two and excuse the grammatical error on the tenth line of part one. This was before I went to Lincoln on Thursday the 18th of august. I was nearly at the end of my shift when I was getting some black bin bags to fill the bins. And they happened to be damp from my washing up the pots and pans. My boss approached me and came too close for comfort then I started shaking because I knew what was going to transgress then he proceeded “The sacks are a bit moist” I tried to avoid the conversation going any further by saying “they are probably just a bit wet from washing up”. “Have you wet your sack”? he pushed it further. I was nearly at the end of my tether and this was when me and him were alone together so I was pretty vulnerable but unfortunately there were no witnesses which is what a lot of bullies do, attack when no one’s around. I came back on Tuesday the 23rd after having a chat with a councillor who told me i have the right to leave work on certain circumstances therefor I gave it another go on the 24th but by the end of that shift I had enough so I left. I also had a word with HR the next day who then told me to put my experiences into a grievance which felt like a complete waste of time because my ex colleagues banded together and made out that I was delusional. But I wouldn’t make up “I smell butty” which basically implied I smell like 💩. Because I didn’t even know what I smell butty meant until I looked it up and on one forum it means I smell like shit. So no I wouldn’t say this place advocates for inclusion of minorities of any kind. And further down the line I actually remember having a chat with one of my now ex colleagues about my boss and he revealed to me that my boss was actually fired from his job before this one and I really wish I knew why. I really hope my experience gets to everyone and enables people to feel comfortable to open up to me about being victims of workplace bullying. Thanks for reading. Kind regards, Aphrodie
