They get paid a small stipend by the Heroes Council for this, and they live off that.

No crime fighting, no obvious heroics, and they only took a Super Identity because it's technically hero's council policy. Nobody's ever seen them in a cape.

Like, they regularly act like they're getting away with something. They joke about how they get to earn money in their sleep. They show up to their hospital visits in deliberately ridiculous disguises, on the excuse that they need to 'protect their identity'.

This is not metaphorical. I mean actual, literal pieces of paper/plastic/metal/whatever explicitly erected to inform the public.

“How did you know this was the right trail?” I read the sign.

“Wow, how did you know what that flower is?” There’s a SIGN.

“How did you know we needed to use the side door?” THERE IS A SIGN POSTED ON THE FRONT DOOR.

Just…why are we having such different experiences of the world? People can read. I KNOW they can read. There’s nothing wrong with their vision.

The immediate outcome from the chaos was that 909 and 132 both got separated from one of their cubs. 909 has since reunited with hers, as she was seen this morning with both of them, but we haven't seen 132 yet so we don't know if she and her cub have since reunited.

132's missing cub has been seen on cam. they are eating scraps, but they will still need milk to thrive and grow. Apparently last night the cub was seen trying to join other family groups, including the 284s. I did not see the interactions myself, and i do not have time to go searching for videos of the interactions, so i only know what i was told. The fact that this cub is eating scraps, and especially the fact that they are actively looking for a family, are good signs. This means that there is still a chance that 132 and her missing cub find each other, and that there is also a small chance for an adoption to occur with another family.

Do you think it should be mandatory for people with driver's licenses to take a refresher driving course every set number of years* – ideally low-cost or funded with taxes – to hammer in the basics of driving, road rules, safety tips** etc, rather than only having to pass a driving test once?

**safety tips could include reinforcing why it's important to keep a certain distance from the car ahead of you and how the safe distance changes depending on various circumstances; how little time speeding/weaving through traffic actually saves vs how much it increases the risks; safety around cyclists/motorcyclists; examples throughout of what can and has happened when people ignore these things; maybe even basic maintenance so you don't get stranded with a flat and no idea how to put the spare on etc etc.

(also re: work, for the sake of this poll let's say it'd be similar to jury duty in the US, in that your employer is required to allow you paid time off work, or your school is required to give you unpunished time off, to complete this refresher course because it's mandatory. And fwiw I'm talking everywhere there are cars & resources to support this, not in any specific country. Obviously some people will still be dicks but we're not talking about them here)

I live almost in the mnts and I'm at the beach and I brought popcorn from home and it took it less than 2 mins to pop and I am FREAKING out??? What do you mean all that "if at this altitude" stuff applies to me????
