And Miles saying "it's just something they do" summaries it so well. They're so insane together and everyone just accepts. And then these two weirdos have couple counseling ass conversation, I can't 😭

God the rituals are intricate, they are so intricate, and they are so mutual. They are equally insane about each other at every turn, and they didn't need to be, but they are, and they have constructed elaborate Rube Golderberg-esque social situations that lead to them being able to reconcile and rekindle their closeness without ever actually having to look each other in the eye and have adult conversations about it. They just bicker and bitch, then get into lethal trouble, then get each other out of lethal trouble, and use that as an excuse to reset their relationship back to how it used to be a little at a time without directly acknowledging it.

I mean those two things really aren't related, first off. Henry didn't graduate because he didn't attend school for over a year and deliberately hid the school's lackluster attempts to contact him/his parents about the truancy. And given that Henry kind of gaslights himself into not thinking about how long he's been out of school and how he can't possibly be graduating, because he dedicates all his time and energy into being Kid Danger, I really don't think there was any other way that could have gone.

Now, on the other hand, if Drex hadn't popped back up when he did, then Henry would still have quit being KD after the Not Graduating realization. And honestly? Given how worked up Jake and Kris got about it, I think they either would have kicked Henry out of the house or he would have left on his own after being unable to prove (to people who didn't want to be corrected in their assumptions) that he'd been Kid Danger. After all he was only able to prove it when the cavemen attacked the house. No attack, no proof, no reconciliation.

In either case, Henry's realspace future isn't anything as bad as J+K spend all that time shrieking about. He's got a five-year work history, he's presumably got some money saved up, and even with him and Ray being at odds, he's definitely still got some pull with Schwoz who can help him figure out a living situation and maybe fake some extra credentials to get another job. Now, will he have any real retail experience to back up that work history in that new (actual) job? Proooobably not, but to be fair nobody really expects much expertise out of teenagers of any work experience, retail and food service aren't complicated and can be picked up pretty easily, and Henry's definitely used to pulling hellish hours. It'll suck, but he'll be okay, and with being paid above federal minimum wage at "Junk 'N Stuff" he might even be able to swing a better-than-starting wage at whatever new place he lands.

Will he be happy? Well, no, probably not. Few people actually like working retail or food service, and in true Manchester fashion he just blew up his entire life on impulse. He just found out he's missed major cultural milestones, his primary support network just imploded, and his best friend is both wildly unsympathetic to his plight and also being a real dick about it. Assuming nothing happens to drag Henry back into the fold relatively quickly, then he's in for a harsh couple years while he tries to figure out how to be an adult (I foresee a lot of begging and pleading for help from Schwoz, and maybe even Jasper deferring going to college in order to cobble together a roommate situation). Maybe Ray even, in his infinitely pettiness and emotional immaturity, calls up Mika and Miles to try and get them to be the new Kids Danger (Danger Twins? Twin Danger?) in an attempt to make Henry jealous enough to storm back into the Man Cave and demand his job back...

looool it's truly crazy how hogwild they went into it in danger force, like they'd been making weird tasteless jokes about it since the pilot and then steadily ramped them up until it seems like half the swellview villains assume that captain man is dating his sidekick, and then with danger force they got new writers and creative direction and instead of quietly dropping all of that in favor of more platonic interaction they. they didn't. they didn't do that at all, and in fact it's essentially canon from the get-go that not only would ray blow up his entire life in swellview to join henry in dystopia if he snapped his fingers but also! he is down bad! and like i see the vision, i respect the vision, i personally am having a great deal of fun with the vision and hope cooper barnes and jace norman did as well, but wow! wowzers! that's sure what all the writers and actors committed to from start to finish!
