Another cool episode idea is getting lapis out of that fucking barn, for example she wants to learn the world she is stuck on so she flies around the world and explores it truly, and in the process finds herself, she sends steven post cards (HEY IF THEY FUCKING BROUGHT BISMUTH BACK, SHE COULD JOIN LAPIS SO SHE CAN SEE THE WORLD SHE SPENT SO HARD TRYING TO PROTECT, AND SHE WONT BE BUBBLED AND CAN COME IN FOR SPECIAL EPISODES)

an idea: lapis, still distrusting the CGs (instead of quickly changing her mind offscreen as in canon), winds up exploring the temple somehow (perhaps being a gem she’d know ways to get around some of the magic within it?) & discovers the bubble room.
steven happens to come into the room (maybe he’s been following her, maybe he has a dream, idk - he’s steven) to see her staring at bismuth’s bubble, having recognized the colors/shape of the bismuth as likely the same one who poofed her, & assuming she’s been corrupted.
she’s not angry with bismuth - instead, seeing the bubble has just made her reflect miserably on the time she spent trapped in the mirror
when steven sees her looking at bismuth’s bubble, he volunteers a brief bit of information about who she is / why she’s bubbled. instead of appreciating him sharing the info, lapis is mortified to discover that steven has imprisoned bismuth indefinitely in a bubble for a misunderstanding, as it reminds her of what she went through
lapis is extremely upset and flees with bismuth’s bubble, because whether she’d poofed her or not, she’s not going to let someone else go through something like she did. & she’s lapis - it’s not like anyone can rly stop her.
so she frees bismuth and, since lapis can’t rly go back to the barn now since she once again severely distrusts the CGs, they decide to travel the earth
