Corset Post: My inspiration for design nearly always comes from fabric. The Italian lace used in this wedding gown for Camille Bently is one of the most inspiring materials I’ve ever worked with. It’s as though the lace has a story to tell, and it in turn is in conversation with the garment and body that it adorns. For this wedding ensemble we made a skirt, corset, bolero, and removable train. This post focuses on the corset, of course. The first photo is a back view of the bolero over the corset. Many, many hours went into the creation of the ensemble, and the bride was radiant and delighted with the process, remarking that the attention and care that we lavished on her and the outfit made her feel like a Princess, as every bride should. @darkgardencorsetry
