really and truly, the best thing you can do to support someone with extreme mental health issues or things like addiction is just be a steady, patient presence. At least, this is my own experience.

The people who made the most difference in my life were those who didn't handle me with kid gloves, but also did not give up on me. They were honest that my behavior was infuriating and awful, but they were still there months or years later when I finally got over myself. They set boundaries, maybe distanced a bit.... but didn't cut me out.

I find some pro-recovery content really triggering coz it feels like they're looking down on/judging others who are still struggling a lot if that makes sense, but I don't get that vibe from your blog. Exploration. Understanding romantic relationships as an aromantic. Fluff and angst and affection and intimacy and going through hell together and not giving up through all seasons of life. (Or, alternatively... exploring and understanding failing relationships as well.)

what’s the worst thing about shipping for you?

Large emotional investment. Sometimes shipping can depress me for days or weeks lmao

Also, in a more broad fandom context people are mean and catty and cagey about shipping. Shipping is the reason for most of my hangups with Hazbin fandom.
