💜 ✨#HTS ARTIST HIGHLIGHT✨💜 When it's the bottom of the ninth at Dodger Stadium and the team needs a lift, they don’t turn to Jansen, Bellinger, or Betts; everyone looks to @therealdjsevere. The Pasadena native has been the official Dodgers DJ since 2009 and the way he “makes the stadium knock” is a big reason the MLB’s best want to play in Los Angeles. Legends have come and gone from Chavez Ravine, blown saves, and struck out with bases loaded, but DJ Severe never fails in the clutch. “I’m the only one that has to be on top of his game every day,” Severe playfully laughs. “I keep the energy up, keep it fresh. I always try to bring something new for your ear. When I can do that, I get such a high.” When the Dodgers held Tommy Lasorda’s funeral and Vin Scully’s retirement ceremony, it was Severe that was entrusted with providing the musical backdrop. When they won their long-awaited World Series Crown away from home last year, Severe was the one to welcome the Dodger blue faithful back to the stadium with tasty tunes to celebrate. Severe’s association with the Dodgers, his keen eye for the newest tracks, and his indomitable work ethic have seen him realize his musical dreams, put him on stage at the Emmys and in front of Bruno Mars, Larry King, Magic Johnson, and Britney Spears. In August, the Dodgers off-field MVP will serve up musical grand slams at Hit The Switches. The celebrated DJ will set the championship tone and open Boogie Wonderland at Hello Stranger’s 2-day funk and soul festival. “I’ve always wanted to do things like this, a music festival like Hit The Switches. I can see the vision, what Hit The Switches is trying to do,” Severe shared excitedly. “My goal is to connect, make people happy, and find out where I can contribute.” #dodgers (at Santa Anita Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/CSGGR7LH0Sw/?utm_medium=tumblr
