I am stepping outside my comfort zone today in a big way... more to come on this later.
Overall, feeling scared as hell but still like a total badass. 😎
I gave this to myself for Christmas, and so far I'm loving it. 😊
I think the universe is trying to tell me to chill out and let things be what they will be.

Here's what a photo with Santa looks like when you're too lazy to stand in line for an hour and too cheap to pay $50 for one damned photo.
Law school finals, done. Last day of work for the year, done. Come to mama!
Law school exams are coming up. My first one is on Saturday. I predict some sleepless nights.
Also, I colored my hair this morning (for the first time in forever). I'm liking the red. I feel sassy. 😎

Sorry to stalk your dashes. But I just got a text message from my 16-year-old son, who went home sick earlier this morning, that he crapped all over himself while laying in bed. Ugh. His words: “Mom, I just shat myself.”
I'm snapping pictures of myself and posting to tumblr to avoid working on stuff that stresses me out.
Pass the happy! 🌻🌈 When you receive this list 5 things that make you happy and send this to 10 of the last people in your notifications
1. A warm cup of coffee on a cold morning.
2. Seeing old people in love.
3. Hallmark movies of any sort, but especially the Christmas ones.
4. A good audio book on a long commute.
5. Getting an unexpected hug from one of my kiddos.
You are perfect and you deserve the best
This speaks to me today.
The “reply all” feature in email is such a useful tool, especially in the legal (and business) world. But holy crap is it dangerous! I’ve seen it go awry on many occasions, and always with dire consequences.
I just read an email from a client, and then forwarded it to my boss with a sarcastic comment. I instantly worried that I had somehow hit “reply all” instead of “forward,” and for a second, my life totally flashed before my eyes.
I’ve always thought that in a zombie apocalypse, I’d be among the first to be eaten because there’s no way I’d be able to outrun them. But the surge of adrenaline that just pumped through me over an errant email felt like a jolt sufficient to power through just about anything. So maybe there’s hope for me yet in terms of surviving in a wasteland populated by flesh-eating monsters.

Dear Me,
When you feel anxiety creeping in, can you please learn how to recognize it for what it is and deal with it appropriately, instead of eating three handfuls of candy out of the office candy dish?
That’d be great.
Thanks,
Me
I feel like a doomsday cult has taken over Tumblr, and the “end of the world” is scheduled for December 17th. I’m a born skeptic, and I regularly dismiss doomsday predictions in favor of the idea that they are indicative of the natural up-and-down of the collective psyche of whatever group is clamoring about the impending demise of life as we know it. This is no different. I imagine that December 18th will come and go, and most of the people I love and follow on here will still be here, posting like always, and that we’ll all just quietly adjust to the new “normal”. I’m not sure if this is skepticism or pessimism, or both. Maybe just realism.
