Aroace people should get an alternate quest line while allos get into romantic relationships. Just for something to do. You know how mantis shrimps can see more colours than humans or whatever that fact is. Aroace people should be able to do something that allo people can’t access. Due to their allo-ness
I think using this metaphor Aroace people would see less colors actually, but in a good way. one of two good ways
most mammals are red-green color blind because differentiating the two isn’t important to them (we probably evolved it for fruit) instead they have more rods which gives then way better night vision.
when humans are color blind it’s different, we don’t magically have more rods, but we do have all this extra vision-designated brainpower sitting around and it doesn’t go to waste. in one of the world wars they had colorblind people assigned to spotting camouflaged enemy bases because they were better at it.
so framing sex/romance as a ‘receptor’ that aroace people don’t use you get that either they’re just better than allo people at everything, or… they’re graceful hunters of the night
