To Boldly Go...

       Grip on the handles of the old bike loosened as the wheels stopped spinning through a slow and gradual process, spine straightening as he sat back and looked out over the canyon before him. Dust clouds whipped about across the plains around and across from where he was, the grains conversing as minuscule, dancing cyclones for short periods before falling again. He'd sworn he was alone, but it appeared that he was incorrect. Eyes transferred from a whirlwind across the gorge to the body a few dozen feet away, taking in how well they seemed to fit into the scene.
