Was it that obvious?
[ drags a chair and sits right in front of him; grins ]
I hardly smoke. So yes, thatâs a give-a-way.
[ raises an eyebrow ]Â
Hardly, huh? Well maybe that just means we gotta spend more time together.Â

Blood Ties and French Fries || Closed RP
"Okay kid," Danny said with a sigh, "Me anâ Johnny here, weâve been doinâ this a long time, and itâs never easy, let me tell you now. Weâve⌠weâve both lost- look okay, I donât know what happen tâya, but fer me⌠I was about yer age when it started. I was stupid and reckless, but it was only by chance that I found the bike."
Here, there was a pause, as a thickset man approached them, taking down their order of burgers and fries. Danny shook himself and continued, âThe bike changed me, made me into somethinâ⌠else. The Rider consumed me, and it became harder to ignore its voice. But you need to know that yâcan control it, with practice. Ainât that right, Johnny? You had it harderân me for a long time.â
Johnny nodded at Danny's closing statement. "Look, kid. I didn't happen to find a demonic bike or car, I did the dumb thing. I sold myself to Satan to save someone from an inevitable death. I was a dumb kid, too. Hell, we all were. It's taken me this long to get used to the Rider and when I lost it.... I was nothing." Johnny looked at Danny to see a small smirk form on his face. "I lost the Rider to a girl, I was so desperate to get rid of the Spirit. But it will become apart of you."Â
Johnny leaned back into the chair, resting his arm on the top of the seat behind Danny's head. "We haven't yet introduced ourselves. I'm Johnny Blaze, that's Danny Ketch, my formerly estranged brother."

Dan, I think we got ourselves another Rider.
Hereâs the thing, Johnny, I think I just met the kid. Whatever he is, itâs powerful, and it ainât exactly beinâ subtle. The powerâs manifestinâ on the outside, got them demon eyes showinâ.
Shit.Â
You thinkinâ itâs gettinâ more powerful?Â
Hard ta tell. The kid ainât exactly in control, and power like that⌠needs tâbe tamed âfore it explodes. I think⌠Johnny, I think we gotta do fer him what you couldnât do fer me⌠We canât risk another Alejandra, Johnny. We donât need any more enemies.
I just hope we're not too late, otherwise shit's gonna get messy and I can feel ol' Ghosty startin' to rev up. The energy comin' from his is stronger than what we ever were. Stronger than Ale, even.Â

You look similar to this other guy I just met.Â
Scruffy dark-haired lookin' fella? That'd be my brother.Â

Of Spilled Blood & Wooden Stakes || Closed RP
The bike warmed to his touch, the engine gently purring to life as, after weeks of disuse, the hellfire-fuelled motorbike finally found itself alive again. The instinct to let loose kicked in as he mounted the bike, but for once, he resisted. It wasnât time, not yet. And in the tiny streets of Brooklyn, a flaming rider would likely attract unwanted and undesired attention. He had learned to be careful in the last years of his life, and as he rode out to the highway to be joined by his brother, he found himself grinning at the thought of spilled blood and wooden stakes.
As Johnny rode beside his brother, the wind whipping his hair in his face, he felt almost at peace. The rider reluctantly agreed not to come out unless called upon but when Danny explained the situation, Johnny's skin felt like it was on fire. He dared to speed up, just going a wheel in front of Danny. He smirked, this was a race he was going to win.Â

Oh, Jooooohnnyyyy.
Sometimes I wonder if yâreally are my brother but it has come tâthe point where I donât even bother anymore.Â
Oh, thereâs no doubt âbout that Johnny boy, weâre both Kales through and through. Anyway, Iâve bin doinâ some thinkinâ, see, thereâs a vampire nest a couple miles south aâ Brooklyn that Iâve bin keepinâ an eye on. Seems tâme that the lilâ fuckers are planninâ a coup an somethinâ needs ter be done. Yâin fer it?
Haven't been out in ages, why not, eh? Just as long as you can keep up, Danny boy.Â
Oh, Jooooohnnyyyy.
Whereâs that favourite brotherâa mine?
Suckinâ up to me ainât gonna get you nowhere.Â
But youâre just so lovable, canât help it, yâknow. I see you, anâ all these feelinâs just come out. Donât know whether ta hug you or bash yer head in, if yâget my drift. Whatâs up with you beinâ all grumpyân that, donât yâmiss yer only brother?

Night Drive || Closed RP
He sensed it before he heard it. Saw the grin spreading across his brothers face. Of course. The bike revved, smoke billowing from the exhaust, and Johnny was off, tires letting out a hiss as the bike drove away. Danny waited a second before joining the chase, that one second all he was willing to give. Their bikes soon levelled again, and in a burst of heat that may not have been entirely natural, Danny overtook his brother, laughing as he went. There was no way he was losing to his older brother.
Johnny didn't need to accelerate. The bike did it for him. He sped well ahead of Danny this time. Showing who was more superior, almost. Johnny could feel something boiling under the surface of his skin. He ignored this for now, his bike speeding faster against the wind.Â
Night Drive || Closed RP
He shut his eyes against the screaming wind, a smile breaking across his face even as his eyes watered, streaming with iced tears. He let the bike guide him, let it determine his path. In the distance, another motor roared, familiar to Dannyâs ears. His eyes shot open, the peace disturbed. His head turned slightly and in the distance he could make out⌠a bike, like his, black and roaring⌠a rider in leather, blonde hair whipping behind him. Johnny. He didnât know whether to laugh or scream. Their bikes soon drew level, and Danny eyed his brother. Neither spoke. Neither needed to, and without realising, both brother began to follow the other.
For once Johnny didn't want to fight with his brother. He didn't need to. There was no reason. But racing isn't fighting, right? Johnny sped up going just past his brother. His foot staying on the accelerator. His uncovered hands flickering. He didn't need to look behind him, soon Danny was level with him again. A smirk made its way onto Johnny's face. And race we shall.
