I'm not sure if somebody thought of it already, but hear me out.

Red = Graham

Chloe = Megan

Max = Dolph

Luìs = Clayton

Squeaky = Andre

Squirmy = Joel

Hazel = Sinead

The rest of the cast can either be other descendants characters, or the original characters.

Chloe would be sent by her grandparents without her parents knowledge while Red would be sent by her mother.

The others would be sent by their parents (maybe not Luìs? I feel like the Madrigals are pretty chill, but they did ostracize their own family member because she didn’t have power and another one for having a "bad power" so....who knows)

The Charming would eventually learn about it on graduation day and rush over to get Chloe back because they love her for who she is not for who she loves.

There Ella would see Bridget and confront her in front of their daughters and reveals she had a sort of relationship with Bridget. Bridget deflect and take Red away but the Charmings follows them. At some point Red ask Bridget why the hell would she sent her there if she's also gay. And at that point we can see Bridget's internalized homophobia.

And I can’t help but wonder If Bridget called her daughters Red and Pink so that they might never lose their name, so that if they had lost their name, someone would just have to look at them and their colors and call them by it the same way one might call a stranger by the color of their short, which in this case would be Red or Pink and the girls would immediately gain their names back.

All of this at 14 years old.
