I don’t believe I’ve ever used the term “gay” to mean homosexual in any of those ways.

Or at all, since it isn’t part of my typical vocabulary, but I don’t believe I’d ever say “I am feeling like a lesbian today,” or any equivalent form.

That's fair. I suppose, for me, the word 'gay' has always resulted in me grasping for context on this website. Were people around here more liable to use 'gay' as a synonym for 'happy,' I'm sure I'd be confused more frequently.
