The Fifth Wave

“One day, all of us will get separated from each other; we will miss our conversations of everything and nothing; the dreams that we had. Days will pass by, months, years, until this contact becomes rare… One day our children will see our pictures and ask ‘Who are these people?’ And we will smile with invisible tears because a heart is touched with a strong word and you will say: ‘It was them that I had the best days of my life with.”

I was feeling bummed but then I had this weird realization that someone could be getting married today or having a child or simply falling asleep next to someone they love and people are graduating from college and high school and moving on with their lives and a dog will get adopted today and someone could be seeing their favorite band or old friends will get together for lunch and reconnect with each other and I don’t know im less sad because I know something great will happen to everyone someday and that’s comforting????
