Too many Jacks. Someone call the police.
I have had a multiverse meeting in my mind for a while.
Jack that is pretending not to be would be @wei-smiler 's Jack. She made a lovely disguise for him and I wanted to draw him in it.
As for the rest-
Copilot, actual evil Jack belongs to @csdp-disasterhotline Because I love them.
Jackie belongs to @nightbun - her arcane Jack. It's a small mod to the clothes she drew him in before.
@diverging-tides Jack in the back seat.
And of course, my boy is the one driving. Maybe because he's the oldest of the bunch? at 21? how terrible.

Idk if you're still active, but how about lots of fluff hc for Felix , Bill, Charlie and Talbott? đĽ°
we love fluff on this blog !!
felix: everyone told him he'd regret it but felix insisted on getting a tattoo that reminds him of his pet name for you: bunny. yup, the tough slytherin prefect turned dragonologist has a (very tasteful, very minimalistic) tattoo of a little bunny rabbit
bill: this guy's a big believer in the old-fashioned love letter, he thinks it's the most romantic thing you could give your partner. he's always leaving you sweet notes around the house, even sending long 'good morning' and 'good night' texts where he proclaims his love
charlie: every evening when he comes home from work he slams open the door, yells "honey i'm home!", and gives you the most toe-curling kiss imaginable (and of course he's all sweaty and stinky from the dragons but who cares at that point)
talbott: he's not one for big romantic gestures, but talbott shows love through little acts of service throughout the day that mean so much in the long run. setting up your coffee for you in the morning, filling up your car with gas, plugging in your phone at night when you forget

Working for the Ministry as a special unit was⌠Grueling, dangerous and foolish. You didnĹĽ want to get this promotion. In fact, you were happy with your work as an Auror.Â
While studying in Hogwarts, you especially tried to get the best grades in order to get the job you so desperately wanted. And you did. Yes, Aurors workday was dangerous, but at the same time exciting. You knew that every capture of a criminal meant another innocent life saved. Every injury and absence of private life was worth it.
But this? This was ridiculous. As a Special Auror Unit (abbreviated SAU) you were tasked with the worst of the wizarding hell and turd. Every second you survived was a pleasure that became a rarity. Team work? Does not exist. Backup? You can only dream about it. Day off? You so desperately wish.

FALLING
HPhogwartsmystery - Talbott Winger x Reader
Authorâs note: This is supposed to be a one-shot but since there arenât many stories about Talbott x reader Iâll be posting 2nd and 3rd part (if youâll be interested). Also English isnât my first language so sorry if there are any mistakes.
Wordcount: 1200
Pairing: Talbott Winger x reader / MC / Y/N (your name)
I first became aware of Talbott Winger thanks to a coincidence. Back than I had never imagined that this boy could get under my skin so quickly. I could say it all started thanks to Tulip.
It was a normal day. I came to the Great Hall and saw Tulip standing with Barnaby at the very end. The sight of the two of them together was more than unusual, so I decided to investigate.
âHi Y/N. Barnaby and I were just discussing Talbott Winger.â Tulip greeted me. When I asked who he is the answer was âa Ravenclaw who keeps to himself.â
âThey also say his dad is a vampire, and his mum is a mermaid!â Barnaby joined the conversation with a disturbing look on his face. Looks like Iâm not the only one with strange rumors circulating around school. What actually caught my attention was the fact that heâs attempting to brew an Animagus Potion. Since the first lesson with professor McGonagall I have dreamed about becoming an Animagus myself. Maybe if I talked Talbott into brewing an extra Animagus Potion for me, I can finally fulfill one of my dreams. Not to mention how much easier itâd be to sneak around school in animal formâŚ
âHeâll shut you down.â Tulip crushed my completely bulletproof plan. âIt might be best to ask around about him firstâŚâ Suggested Barnaby. Since it was a good idea I started asking about Talbott everyone who was still in the Great Hall. Unfortunately, he was sitting a few feet away from me, and as I found out later, he heard everything.
âIf you want to know something about me, just ask.â He says as soon as I sit across from him. He took me by surprise. Not knowing what to say I blurted out the first thing which came to my mind: âHow did you know I was talking about you?â
âMy hearing is almost as good as my eyesight.â He asnwers without any emotion. âBesides, Iâm used to people talking about me.â How can I relate to that⌠I decided not to beat around the bush and straightforward asked if he was brewing an Animagus Potion, however he denied it. His cold response told me not to push any further and with a quiet sorry to bother you, I got up to leave. His next sentence stoped me. âIs it true you sneaked into Filchâs Office?â Not wanting to incriminate myself, I lied. âNo. Why? Do you want to get in?â
âIâm collectong things for a mutual friend of ours.â He vaguely answered. âWe have a mutual friend?â
âYouâre probably surprised I have any friends at allâŚâ Did I just hear a hint of pain in his voice? âNo, not really. Everyone has friends and with everything Iâve seen at Hogwarts, nothing surprises me anymore.â I shruged with my shoulders to seem like I donât really think much of it, but in reality I secretly hoped my answer will comfort him. I donât know why, but I donât want him to be sad. âWeâll see about that.â Talbott said. A little smirk appearing on his face.
âWhat do you mean?â
âLetâs go Y/N L/N. You can show me how you definitely did not sneak into Filchâs office.â And just like that I fell into a trap called Talbott Winger. With each passing day I wanted to know more about him, what he likes, what is he doing. When I was able to conjure a smile on his face, it was the best feeling I had experienced. Much better than when we won first Quidditch Cup. But⌠He didnât saw me as a friend. Not until I pushed him into allowing me to help find his lost necklace. Thatâs when he finally admited, he sees me as a friend. As someone he can trust and rely on. When I heard him say these words, my heart made a few somersaults. In that very moment I realised I donât fancy him anymore. I have totally fallen for him.
                            *******
One particular night I couldnât fall asleep. I decided Iâll tire myself out by going on a fly around the castle. After putting on a sweatshirt and shoes, I shifted into my animagus form and flew through the open window. After flying for several minutes I noticed a very familiar looking eagle heading fot the owlery. With a graceful movement of my wings I change direction and follow my new friend. When I land, I transform back into my human form, but Talbott still remains in his animal. He is resting on one of the loose perches, looking at me curiously.
âI couldnât sleep.â I answer his silent question, taking a few steps forward, shortening the distance between us. His feathers shine beautifully in the moonlight. I couldnât resist the urge to touch his plumage. I lightly touch the side of his wing.
âYour feathers looks really beautiful.â I whisper into the dark night not entirely sure if I didnât cross the border. His pupil narrows in surprise. His body gets surrounded by a yellowish glow, and I realise too late that he is transforming back into his human form. Surprised, I donât have time to dodge and within a second I find myself face to face with his firm chest. His pleasant scent immediately surrounds me, and I realize that I am absorbing it voraciously in an effort to remember it. He must have noticed. This got awkward really quickly⌠With a shy sorry i take a few steps back and look up at him. His look took my embarrassment to a whole new level. He was covering his face with his hand, furiously averting his gaze. Is he blushing?
âDid youâŚâ His voice was a pitch lower than usual. After clearing his throat he looked down at me. Yep, he was definitely blushing. âDo you really think that?â I felt my cheeks begin to burn. âYes⌠I do.â I honestly answer unable to look him in the eye. The last time I confessed my feelings it didnât go exactly well. Thank goodness I erased his memories.
âDo I look good only in my Animagus form?â He asks. Something in his voice forced me to look at him. He was serious. He needed to know. The request in his eyes told me I have to tell him the truth. Now or never.
With a shaky breath I compose myself. âNo. I think you look very handsome every time I see you.â After hearing my response his cheeks darkened with deep red. A mischievous grin curls his mouth into a smile. Why does he looks like he just won?
âGood to know.â He simply answers lovering himself to my heigh. He tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear with his hand, looking directly into my eyes. His hot breath tickled my lobe. âI think you look absolutely gorgeous yourself.â And with that, he transformed back into an eagle and left.
The heart impetuously beats for the boy who just gave her hope.
âFalling in love with him I hadnât expected. But being in love with him is something I couldnât stop even if I tried.â

FALLING
HPhogwartsmystery - Talbott Winger x MC
Okay! So, here is the âsecondâ chapter of FALLING. Both chapters are meant as a one-shot so you donât have to read the first one, but maybe it wouldn't hurt. This chapter is insparted by the song âWithout Himâ by Christina Grimmie. Itâs a very nice song. Just so you know - I was inspired by the lyrics of this song and one more by Demi Lovato, I just modified some parts a bit. All rights reserved to the original singers!
Please excuse any grammatical errors or typos. I have tried to check the whole text several times, but I do not guarantee anything. If you notice anything, please let me know and I will fix it right away. I also apologize for the hasty conclusion, this chapter is longer than i initially intended and I feel like no one will enjoy reading something this longâŚ. But please, ENJOY!

First kiss
After Talbottâs sudden compliment it became quite awkward between the two of you. Whenever you run into each other in the corridors he wouldnât even look at you. Frankly you felt⌠miserable. Your conversations starts and ends with âHi.â From time to time it will be extended by âHow are you?â and "Good, thanks.â When did talking to him became so hard?Â
âMiss Y/L?â Professor Flitwick calls your name after your charm lesson ended and it stopped you in your track to give him your full attention.
âYes, professor?"Â The little man approached you in small but hurried steps.Â
âIâll be hosting a small concert as a thank you to all the professors and the students for their hard work and Iâd like to ask you, if you could sing on your own maybe a few songs?â His eyes were full of hope. Even thought you have never sang in front of the whole school alone and was afraid to do so, you didnât have it in you to turn him down. Not after everything he had already done for you over the years.Â
âYes, professor. Iâll be more than happy to do so!â You said, anxiously clenching your fists.Â
âGreat! I was thinking our choir should sing some of our usual songs and than you will be the grand finale with a whole new song!â Flitwick clapped his hands in excitement. His eyes shone with childlike joy and his happiness slowly spread onto you. After all, it could be fun not just another way how to emberass yourself in front of everyone.
âDo you have a specific song in your mind?â You asked curious about what youâll be singing. âOh! I actually composed a new song, but the lyrics arenât quite rightâŚâ The tone of his voice dropped with disappointment with each word.
âI never knew you could compose songs!â You exclaimed in surprise, trying to make him feel better. The professor smiled up at you asking if you wanted to hear the music and just like that, both of you spend the rest of the day going over the details and planning the whole thing. It was time for dinner before you went through everything, completing most of the needs for the upcoming event. Then you headed to the Great Hall.
âThe melody is really beautiful and gentle! Maybe a more romantic lyrics would fit better.â You suggested still thinking over the catchy melody resonating in your head. It is truly beautiful. âAnd it would be great if we could have a live music!â You happily skipped in your steps and got ahead of the professor looking at him while walking backwards into the hall.Â
âThatâs a great idea miss Y/L. Iâm more than happy to acompany you on piano. But about the love song⌠Maybe it would be great if someone experiencing youth love would write the lyrics.â The implications behind his words caused you to blush, your mind wandering to the one time you and Talbott went to professor Flitwick asking him to teach you Obliviate and how you confessed your love right there.Â
âPlease professor⌠Donât tell him.â You begged berely above a whisper. His eyes softened and all you could see was how much he truly cared for you. âI would never do such a thing. This is something you should tell him personally and all I am seying is that this is a great opportunity to do so.â And with that he left and joined the professors at the head of the hall. When you joined your friends the interrogation started right away.Â
âSo? Why did you came in with professor Flitwick looking so happy?â Penny asked, always for the gossip. I vaguely shrugged my shoulders not wanting to ruin the surprise. âWe are just planning something. Iâm sure heâll enounce it soon enough.âÂ
âIs it about the concert?â She chimmed looking so proud at herself when your eyes widened in shock. âHOW? How do you know that!â Itâs not possible for her to know everything and yet here we are, her proving you wrong once more.Â
âSo it is!â She smiles broadly revealing her white teeth.Â
âAre you gonna sing with the choir?â Rowan asks you curiously. âOf course she is! Sheâs the best singer out there!â Charlie chims in, smiling at you like a proud older brother. His geniuin compliment brings a sheepish smile to your face. âYeah. Actually Iâm gonna sing solo at the end.â The shocked expressions soon dissipated to smiling. All congratulating you like if you won a golden medal.Â
âWhat are you gonna sing?â A calm voice asks you right besaide you.Â
When the hell did he sad next to me?Â
Your heart jumps in your chest just by hearing his voice. You turn to Talbott who is sitting next to you, drinking a pumpking juice. You watched as his Adamâs apple popped up and down. Itâs just so⌠hypnotizing. You got drunk in him yet again. Only when his eyebrows rise up do you realise he asked you a question.Â
âOh⌠Itâs-â Clearing your throath you try to answer once more. âItâs a l-love song.â The sttuter couldnât be more obvious could be? You could feel the way your cheeks started tu burn under his intens gaze.Â
âA love song?â He repeated, his brows going up. You nodded in confirmation. âYeah. Itâs⌠Well, Flitwick composed a new melody and I should write the lyrics.â You explained in a little more detail, even though it wasnât necessary. You just wanted to prolong your conversation, it seemed like ages since you talked to him.Â
âPff, thatâs gotta by easy! Just sing about Quidditch!â Skye laughed hitting the table. âI donât think itâs this kind of loveâŚâ Penny grunts disapprovingly. âThen what else does she love than Quiddich?â Skye tilts her head to one side and you just praied to whoever God is listening that none of your friends would say his name. But the gods of all religions probably went on vaccation today, because your worst nightmare came true.Â
âTalbott of course!â Tonks yelled and tilted her head in a fit of laughter. You angrily kicked her under the table not beying able to look at Talbott at the moment. All you knew was that your face must be as red as the Weasleyâs hair. Still, you wanted to know if Talbott felt the same way as you, so you secretly peeked underneath your lashes. He was⌠He was covering his face with both hands. This sudden attention must be horrible for him. Your embarrassment quickly turned into concern wanting to do anything in your power to make him feel good.
ââYa okay?â You whispered leaning slightly towards him. When he heard your voice he peeked at you through his fingers. He was blushnig. Hard. His shyness brought back yours, however you remained close to him.
âY-yeah, its just⌠Yeah, Iâm okay.â He managed to answer, while averting his gaze. The image of him being so flustrated over the fact you might love him⌠Does he feel the same way as you do? Is it possible for him to like you back?
Just as your mind was conjuring images about your marriage he spoke again. âIs it true?â You looked at him confused. He was still blushnig but in his eyes was pure interest and⌠Hope?Â
No, Iâm just imagining that. For sure.
âWhat is?â You asked confused.Â
âAre you gonna write a song about me?â He bluntly asks. He was always so straightforward is sometimes scared you. What should you anwer? Should you laught if off, making a joke of it or should you be sincere? You wanted to. You wanted to push your friendship into something more. How could you became his girlfriend if you didnât even tried?Â
You were never afraid to enter the Cursed Vaults, the need to find your brother giving you the courage to continue. Over the last year you and Talbott became closer, he even let you go on nigh journeys with him, he letâs you be in his safe place. One time during playing Gobstones he invited you to a butterbeer. Just the two of you.Â
His calming red eyes gave you the courage you so desperately needed.
âIf-if you want toâŚâ
His eyes sparked with joy. A rare, small smile spread across his features. Then he leaned towards you as he had that night in the owlery and put his warm lips to your ear. âI would love to hear it.â He whispered and gently stroked your cheek with his thump.Â
âThan I will.â
âCanât wait.â
                           * * * * *
In the next few days you were focused on writing the correct lyrics without any luck. It just wasnât right. You really tried, hardly doing anything else. You didnât paid attention during lesson nor during Quidditch practise. You were becoming fet up with your inability to express your feelings, transforming them into a song.Â
âDonât think about it so hard.â Andreâs voice tore you out of your reverie. âWhat?â You looked at him confused. âYou try so hard you canât think of anything.â He said while adjusting your dress for the upcoming event.Â
âYou are a great help Andre. Thank you. Truly.â You scoffed, focusing again on the plank parchment in front of you.
âWhat Iâm trying to say isâŚJust think about him. What you like about him, how the two of you met, how good you feel when you are together. You should write about these things.âÂ
âTried it already. But it doesnât rhyme.â You admitted, sprawling on the table in front of you. âCanât Flitwick help with that?â Andre tilted his head in confusion. You were so focused on not being able to think of any rhymes that this never occured to you. He was right. You could go and ask for a help.Â
âYou are a genious!â You smiled broadly and quickly began to gather your things. âI konw, but you can say it again.â Andre laughet and before he could say anything else, your back disappeared outside the classroom door.
With professor Flitwickâs help, everything went smoothly and before you knew it, the time has come. The Great hall was beautifuly illuminated by glowing blue lights, flying around the hall here and there. There were long tables full of snacks along the walls and several round tables for guests in the middle. In the second half of the hall was the dance floor, in front of which stood a stage with a majestic black piano.
You tried to smooth your clothes with nervousness, even though they were absolutely perfect. Andre did an amazing job. The purple fabric embraced your figure perfectly, the tiny gems glistening with each step, and the bottom hem of the dress was enchanted by magic, creating moving ornaments.Â
You joined the rest of the choir members on the stage and patiently waited for professorâs Flitwick sign to begin. You scanned the croud, noticing your friends imidiately. All of them cheered you on. Then your eyes met him. The one you were looking for.Â
Talbott was wearing a simple black suit with a purple butterfly. He looked so much older in the black color you never saw on him. It suited him. Talbott must have sensed that someone was looking at him - in the next moment your eyes loked and you could swear that his red orbits widened when he took you in, his cheeks reddening. All of the sudend you felt beautiful. You smiled at him, sending him a little wave.Â
Eventually, the concert itself began. After a few songs you relaxed, enjoying yourself. As you sang the penultimate song, Flitwick took the floor again.Â
âNow, itâs time for the last song of the evening - a grand finale, which will be sung to you by our lovely Y/N. Without any further ado, Miss Y/N and her song: Without you.â
A welcome applause accompanied you on your way to the piano. You noticed how your friends looked from each other in confusion. Nobody knew you learned the notes and you would play alone. You adjusted the microphone and looked at Talbott to let him know that this song is for him. At last, you began to play the gentle melody.
Right from the start when my ears heard your name
You lured me in, setting my heart aflame
I think Iâm in love
I think Iâm in love
You tried to push me away
But I never swayed
Now Iâm crazy, why can no one understand
That Iâll never find a better man?
I just know my life ainât ment to be live
Without you
Without you
Why canât I just tell you how I feel?
Wishing to see your smile              Â
Wanna kiss you and fall asleep in your arms
You make me so nervous
Canât even hold your swarthy hand
But I cover up, acting bland
As soon as I see him, blushing
Wanting to hug him, but if I ever did that
I think Iâd have a heart attack               Â
You make me glow
Just wanted to let you knowâŚ
You tried to push me away
But I never swayed
Now Iâm crazy, why can no one understand
That Iâll never find a better man?
I just know my life ainât ment to be live
Without you
Without youâŚ
There was a storm of applause in the room as you finished singing. Now was the time to face Talbott and hope that his response to your confession would be the same as yoursâŚÂ
You couldnât find him. He wasnât standing in the same spot anymore.Â
I scared him offâŚ
You thought, feelin miserable. Your wolrd crushed down. What should you do now? Can you fix this? To say that the song wasnât really about him and that you just want to be a friend? At least you want to keep your friendship with Talbott. You cannot imagine loosing him foreverâŚ
âYou were amazing.â A deep, melodic voice behind you interrupted you from your scattered thoughts. You spun around, facing him. He was holding a single, pink rose, beaming smile on his face.Â
âH-hi.â You managed to say. He looked at you with appreciation and tenderness in his eyes. âThis is for you.â He said, holding the rose in front of you. With a quiet âthank youâ you accepted the rose. It was beautiful, the petals glistened slightly in the dim light. âI enchanted the rose to never wither.â A sheepish smile appered on his features and he rubbed the back of his neck - a habit of his when he is nervous.Â
âActually⌠It has a meaning.â He admitted, averting his gaze. âWhich is?â You incited him gently.Â
âA single rose means⌠L-love at first sight. A âI like you and Iâm interested in youâŚâ And the pink colour expresses devotion and praise. And that you are beautiful. Which you truly are. Not just tonight. I mean⌠You are incredibly beautiful tonight, but in my eyes you are always the most beautiful soâŚâ
You saved him from his rambling with a quick peck to his lips. âThank you Talbott. I⌠I donât even know what to say. This is the most beautiful thing anyone has ever done for me. I canât thank you enough.â You could feel the tears in your eyes, threatening to run down your cheeks at any moment.Â
âI would know of one way to thank me enoughâŚâ Talbott mumbled, stepping closer to you, gently embracing you in his arms - his left hand on your cheek, the other hand on your waist, by which he brought you closer to his own body.Â
âWhich is?â You teased him, already tilting your head to meet his lips.
âKiss me again, please. This time longer.â He asked and you were more than happy to oblige.Â
A perfect day does not consist of things you do, but with whom you do them.

Also thank you SO MUCH! @whatwouldvalerydo for your kind words and reblog of my last chapter! You made my day, trulyđ
Dark haired man sat on one of the branches looking down on the inhabitants of the forest. A quiet rage penetrated to his bone, while his red eyes continue watching the witch wander around his home for several days in row. To the uninitiated observer, he seemed impartial, unbothered. However, his stiff shoulders and upright back revealed how annoyed he really is.
When he first saw her, he didnât pay much attention to her. Yes, it was uncommon for someone to come so deep into the forest, but sometimes it did happen. Most of the time, however, it didnât last long, and the same evening the visitor came they also disappeared. But she⌠She was here even the day after and the next day too, staying the whole night. It was four days ago since he last zigzagged in the air between the trees. He missed his freedom. He missed flying. It was his joy; it filled every cell of him with pure bliss. The inability to fly freely for several days in a row so as to not reveal his existence to a stranger was a suffering for him.
He couldnât figure out what the young woman wanted to do in the middle of the forest, where daylight would shine through the trees only for a few hours a day. She seemed to be looking for something, but he wasnât sure what that something was. One day she picked up one of his fallen feathers, the next day he saw her feeding the Thestral, the next day she discovered Nifflerâs residence and the day after she brought him silverware and a watch. She played with him for the rest of the day.
She was kind to every creature she came across. Even the shy and fearful fairies liked her. A thorn of jealousy pierced him when he saw how easy it was for her to befriend them - they ignored him even after a month of giving them endless treats.
He didnât know why, but he enjoyed watching her. Maybe it was because he hadnât seen a person in a long time, or because he wondered what she really wanted. But it was definitely not because he liked her carefree smile and her playful nature.Â
Or maybe that was exactly why he decided to help her.

A couple of quick doodles of Talbott Iâve done lately. I havenât read or drawn anything for sooo long, I feel rusty and uninspired, and I think going back to do fanart and fanfiction could help me get out of that creative block.

Most days, Talbott felt like people were far worse than animals - he thought that people are selfish, arrogant, cynical, conceited and often rude to other beings. Today was no different. Today, he was once again convinced of human cruelty. Today, he reaffirmed his conviction that he wanted nothing to do with people, that it was more pleasant for him to be alone. There was nothing else he could do, since the only person whose presence was not only pleasant but necessary for him was no longer hereâŚ
Talbott was enjoying his day with you; he was so happy to see you again, to spend time with you, to hug you, but above all to see you happy again - to see your smile. He didnât need anything else for a happy life, just you.
It wasnât so long ago that he finally realized what that pleasant feeling in his chest meant - he had probably suspected it from the very beginning, but only now, in your presence again, did he admit that his heart was beating with immeasurable love for you. He felt like he was in seventh heaven when his whole dream collapsed like a house of cards.Â
Originally, he didnât realize how fleeting his current life was, he thought youâd be together forever⌠That nothing bad can happen to you, that nothing can separate the two of you. Oh, how horribly wrong he wasâŚÂ If he knew he could lose you in the blink of an eye, he would have protected you more, been more careful combing the forest before he landed. If only he had known how fragile human life is, he would have been more careful and taken his wand with him, which has been lying in the dust for years in one of the drawers of his wardrobe. If, only IF!
He mentally berated himself for how incompetent he was. Because if he was any good, this wouldnât have happened right? Because if he was any good, he wouldnât be sitting here on the cold cobblestones, tearing his hair out in frustration over whether youâre okay or truly dead. He grunted silently in pain as he hit his head with his injured hand harder than he intended, yet he did it again, again and again, welcoming the physical pain over the emotional. The physical pain goes away, you get used to it, while the mental pain persists, still haunting you like your personal ghost. It never goes awayâŚÂ You can temporarily distract yourself but it keeps coming back at you in waves that persistently crash into you. Like its funny. Like its welcoming, as if you wanted it⌠And maybe he does want it. Maybe if he feels like shit for the rest of his life, you would forgive him for not protecting you. For not dying with you.Â
His injured hand throbed painfully, but all he cared about was you. He blamed himself for not reacting soonerâŚ
.
Talbott was absolutely sure of his feelings for you, but before he confessed to you he wanted to be sure that you shared at least some of the same feelings for him that he had for you. Yes, he trusted you, and he was sure you wouldnât knowingly do anything to hurt him. But he didnât know if your concern for his health and your contagious smile were just signs of your generosity and kindness. He didnât want to falsely hope for something he could never have.
Thatâs why he decided to ask you what youâve been hiding from him for so long. He originally didnât want to force you to tell him because he could tell this was a topic you didnât want to discuss. But now, now that his life was moving into a completely different phase, he wanted to know the answers to his questions before he allowed himself to fall over the edge and free-fall into the unknown. Based on your answer, he knew he would either fall alone or with you by his side.
âI work for the Ministry as a special Auror. And what I do is basically eliminating any threat the Ministry deems dangerous.â The words that came out of your mouth were the first blow to his heart. He watched the woman he had fallen head over heels in love with, change before his eyes into someone he didnât know. Into someone who is a danger to those around him, someone who is not afraid to take others life if ordered to do so.
Talbottâs brain spun at a furious speed as he began to consider what your profession really meant. You wouldnât be here⌠Unless The Ministry of Magic recognized that something or someone in this area is so dangerous that it needs to be eliminated immediately. Although there were many dangerous creatures in the Forbidden Forest, none of them were deadly to the students on the school grounds. The realization hit him with lightning speed. The only big unknown was him.
âWas I deemed to be a threat?â He asked through the forming lump in his throat, dreading your answer. His fears were realized when you confirmed them with an affirmative nod. The second sharp blow was expected, but it hurt even more than the first.
He didnât need nor want to confirm his assumption, yet he heard his own mouth form the last and final question: âYour job is to kill me?â
He could hear his beating heart stop and crumble into dust when he heard you say that cruel word beginning with the letter y.
He should never have trusted you to begin with. He knew people were manipulative liars, and yet he put all his trust in your hands. You crushed it with a sweet smile on your face. He tought you were different then the rest⌠He made the biggest mistake of his life and realized it too late. Youâre nothing more than a lying bitch waiting for the right opportunity to snuff out his life.
But⌠If that was really the case, why didnât you do it a long time ago? He is sure you had plenty of opportunities, not to mention countless ways to take his life, and yet here he was now, standing before you, alive. Was there some reason why you havenât done so yet? He wanted to believe that the reason could be him and the fact that you cared about him, yet he strictly forbade himself to hope for anything. He did it once, and to what end? For what? For the broken heart and the threat of death radiating over his head threatening to fall any second?
No.
He certainly did not hope for such an outcome and was not willing to risk all that was dear to him and brought peace to his soul for⌠This.
âThenâŚâ Talbott summoned all his remaining courage, refusing to perish without explanation, âwhy didnât you kill me? Do you need time to get more information from me?â
You looked as if all your emotions decided to explode at the same moment, and yet as you approached his body with slow steps, a single emotion dominated your eyes.
Fear.
Was it fear for him, for yourself, for your profession? He wasnât sure.
âI do need more time, but not for what you think.â Your soft voice in the silence of the trees kindled a fading flame.
He saw your hand rise to his clenched fist, and in those few seconds he was deciding whether to reject or welcome your touch. He has always welcomed your touch, and in recent days he has craved it more than anything else in his entire life, and yet when he felt your warm touch on his fingers, he unknowingly flinched before he could prevent it. He felt some rough material hit his wrist as he pulled away sharply, and when he lowered his gaze, he saw the bracelet you gave him. With bitterness in his heart, it reminded him of the day you gave it to him - it was the day hope was reawakened in him, the day he decided to go out into the world and open his dark mind full of self-blame to someone else. It was the moment he fell for you.
And with a dull ache that settled in his lower abdomen, he let you embrace his hand in yours with the ease of a motherâs love. It was so much smaller than his, and once again his feelings for you sparked in him the way a faint flame on a candle tries to give as much warmth as possible. If this was the end, he wanted to remember all the good and walk away with a smile on his face, not with anger consuming his mind.
âI tried to find a way to save you, Talbott.â There was a determination in your voice that he never felt in himself. You squeezed his palm with an urgency heâd never experienced before and he was sure you had something more to say, but you never had the chance to say it.
âI knew we shouldnât have trusted you.â A venomous voice cut through the silence of the early evening forest like a knife through fresh butter. You whipped your head to the intruder instantly once your ears registered his words. Talbott watched as your frail body came between him and the stranger, wand outstretched. His little heart leapt at the image desplaied before him - you were protecting him with your own body acting as a shield. His mind couldnât process it. Why would you do this?
âPrepare for disciplinary action. Iâm taking over your mission from now on.â Said the cloaked man, and another piece of the puzzle fell into place for Talbott. He was a colleague of yours, probably a supervisor. You snorted ridiculously, your laugh full of contempt. âIf you think itâs going to be that easy, youâre sorely mistaken.â
âI suggest you give up while I give you a chance. Maybe then you wonât get Dementorâs kiss. Though I canât promise anything.â Did he really just threaten you with a fate worse than death? You couldnât help laughing at his threat. You knew that as far as abilities go, his are several times better than yours, not just in terms of experience. He was not afraid to use any means at his disposal to get his way. You, on the other hand⌠You were raised with certain moral principles, and one of them was not to hurt or kill others. Thatâs why you hated your current job so much.
âWell, unlike you, I can promise you something.â You declare in a firm voice, your gaze still fixed on your colleague yet you direct your next words to the man behind you. âYouâll never get Talbott. Iâll take care of that personally.â
âHa! HAHAHA-â
The maniacal roar penetrated to the core of your bones when the man before you started bend with laughter. You were nothing but a giant joke to him. So be it. As long as he underestimates you, maybe youâll have a chance against him.
âAqua Carcerem!â You take advantage of the moment when heâs laughing and not paying any attention to you to get a little extra time. A giant water bubble surrounds your enemyâs body, trapping him for half a minute. You donât waste a second of your precious time and immediately congure your patronus.
âGo get them.â As your shining protector fled among the nearby thickets, you turned to Talbott. âYou need to get as far away from here as possible. Donât worry about anything but your own safety.â
Talbott watched you with complete disbelieve. You canât be serious right? You, of all people, want him to fled the scene like he sis so many years ago when his mother told him to do so? To save only himself and then have to watch the funeral of his loved ones from afar? He vowed that day he would never again in his life stand idly by and watch someone take his loved ones from him.
âNo.â
Your eyebrows drew together in disbelieving arches at his dismissive reply. âWhat?â
âI said no. I wonât make the same mistake again.â Although he didnât intend it that way, his last sentence was a clue for you. A clue that led you in your memories to that beautiful, sunny space in the middle of the forest where he had opened himself to you for the first and last time without hesitation. You knew you couldnât force him to relive his greatest trauma. And yet, you couldnât suppress the burning urge to protect him at all costs. Even if you had to double-cross him by making him run away leaving you behind, you were ready to risk it all. As long as heâs safe, nothing else mattersâŚ
âOkay, fine. But as soon as I deem it too dangerous, youâll listen to me.â You command him in a determined but gentle voice. You wanted to let him know that you were going to grant his wish, but not at the cost of his own life.
âNot unless your escape plan includes you.â Before you could even take a breath to protest, the water prison burst with a loud plop. Your time have run out. Just as the water broke free, the dark wizard sent the first of his curses towards you. You successfully deflected his spell and sent it off into the distance behind you. There was a loud thud as the spell hit the tree trunk. You didnât have time to look back, but you were sure that there was now a dark hole in the wood.
âIsnât this quite a sight?â Your opponent chuckled. âTwo orphans. One because her parents lost interest in her, the other because his parents were killed.â It was clear to you that he was trying to get under your skin, so you paid no attention to his words. The same could not be said of Tabott, however.
âHow do you know that?â Talbottâs throat constricted in horror. His whole body shivered slightly with cold as the man in front of him pulled back his hood and, for the first time in over a decade, looked into the red eyes that haunted him at night. He has never been able to forget the cruel look on the face of the man who killed both his parents with the brutality of the greatest evil.
The rawness engulfed Talbottâs mind with an impenetrable blackness that echoed in regular blows from his temples to his entire body. He couldnât perceive his surroundings anymore, couldnât hear your desperate voice calling to him. All he could perceive was the man in front of him - thatâs all he could see. Just him and his hatred for the killer of his parents.
Talbott was consumed by a dark self he had never saw before and took over all control. He shot forward at brutal speed with an intent on avenging the death of his parents. With intent to harm, to kill. He was only dimly aware of sinking his claws into human body and tearing the soft flesh to shreds.Â
A cry of pain cut through the air, warm liquid enveloping Talbottâs claws as he dug them into the manâs calf. Talbott pulled his prey sharply under his strong body. The painful screams of his father as he was tortured with cruciatus played in his ears. He wanted them to stop so he wouldnât have to continue to hear his dad suffer⌠Something - he had to drown out his screams with something.
Sharp fingers caught the greasy strands of hair in their hands and with a powerful blow sent the head to the ground in a succession of several quick blows.Â
Thud. Thud.  Thud.
Thud.Â
Crack -Â
Red. There was red everywhere. Just like in his memories when a bloody hand reached towards him with the wors ârunâ! As the nightmare played over and over in his mind, Talbott stood still as a statue.Â
A momentâs hesitation was all he needed to get rid of Talbott. With a quick casting of the binding spell, Talbott couldnât move anymore thus couldnât attack or defence. A perfect outcome of what should have happaned from the very beggining. The few casualties were dealth with a quick Vulnera Sanentur and bandaged with the help of bandaging spell.Â
Now that the mad beast was immobilized, he focused his attention in your direction. Your pupils were dilated with shock, looking at the spot where only moments before Talbott had been attacking your colleague. You never dreamed that his fragile soul could harbor such aggression, rage, hatred. And it was only when you felt a gripping force in your lower abdomen that jolted you forward that you snapped out of your shock. You went flying straight into his outstrached arms, his fingers tightly squeezing around your neck. Air was forcibly denied from you and replaced by searing pain every time you tried in vain to breathe.
âI changed my mind.â He said as his gaze watched your struggling form. âI donât feel like keeping you alive until your disciplinary court anymore.â Your vision began to blur and all you could register was the pain and his fingers gripping your neck.
âNo⌠Please donât -â A quiet sob redirected his attention back to the now disheveled, broken beast in restrains. âDonât hurt her, not her.â He begged, eyes flooded with bitter tears.
âPche. Why shouldnât I?â He looked at Talbott mockingly, but when he saw his ruined form, a new plan began to form in his twisted mind. How best to control others? By using what they hold dear. âTell me, what are you willing to sacrifice to save her?â
âWhatever. Anything.âÂ
When his ears registered the answer he hoped to hear, a rotten smile settled on his scarred face. âGood.â But he only let you go when he heard Talbottâs sobbing pleas for your release. He released his fingers from his tight grip and watched as you hit the floor, trying to get your breath back. Your throat burned sharply with each breath, and you coughed brokenly, which only made the pain worse. You touched with your hand gingerly to your bruises and looked glassy-eyed at Talbott, whose expression reflected his burning guilt. You tried to call his name with your lost voice and tell him it wasnât his fault, but all that came out was a jumble of strange clawing sounds more akin to the sobbing of a wounded animal than human speech.Â
Thatâs why you decided to go up to him and hug him, but you should have known that your release from the choke-hold was not an act of mercy, but a way of how to hurt more.
Talbott squatted helplessly on his knees and watched helplessly as you flew back a few metres and crashed backwards into a tree. The bastard sent one depulso after another at you and didnât give a damn what happened to you. But Talbott did. The first time the terror paralyzed him, the second time it forced him to act, and the third time it was he who took the blow, not you.
âSorry, I should have cut the rope sooner.â He apologized and pulled you closer in his arms. Your legs were broken, and given your irregular breathing, he feared that your ribs had suffered a nasty injury as well. You were too weak and felt like your whole body was run over by a train, but you lived. And that was all that mattered to him now. Your survival.
âMm. I should have thought you could cut ropes with your claws.â The Nameless One was wailing as if reflecting on his mistake, so that he would learn for the next time. Like he didnât give a damn about you.Â
âYou promised youâd let her go if I did anything you said! You promised you wouldnât hurt her!â Talbott shouted urgently at him. But he only smiled wickedly, the same way he smiled at Talbottâs dying mother when she told him they werenât gonna tell him anything about the order.Â
Thatâs when Talbott realized that the man in front of him was pure evil. A sadist who thrives in others suffering. A psychopath who enjoys killing. There was no point in trying to beg him for mercy since he doesnât know the meaning of the word.
Talbott let out a heart-wrenching scream of pain as he felt your body disappear from his reach, being lifted high and then free-falling back to the ground.
Youâd been hit with stupefy and he houplessly watched you fall down, bumbing your head onto a huge rock. Talbott knew instantly that you had a concussion from the way youâd laid stunned on the ground. He wanted to run to you and help you however he could but that stupid prick stopped him with another charm. Thick, red blood began to cover the ground beneath you. One stray tear set off a torrent of tumbling waterfalls as you looked at him with a final gasp. Your eyes closed at the sobs calling your name. You didnât answer.
Talbott was forcefully dragged away from your still body. Although Talbott tried to break free from his grasp while constantly calling out to you and begging your forgiveness, the indomitable strength of his captor didnât even give him a chance to say goodbye as he took Talbott with perverse pleasure to the underground dungeons.
The cold, stone corridor echoed with the clacking of soles accompanied by hiccupping cries. Talbottâs knees buckled as the man in front of him roughly dragged him into one of the cells. He used some sort of spell that Talbott didnât notice and gave him a rough shove to make him fall in. It was during a sharp impact on the cold floor when he injured his right wrist.
âDonât worry, Iâll come for you soon. When Iâm done with you, youâll meet her again.â They were the last words Talbott heard before the pervasive silence engulfed him. In the distance, the sound of water droplets hitting the tiles could be heard in a regular rhythm. But apart from that he heard nothing else. Nothing but his turbulent thoughts going back to the moment he lost you.
âIf Iâd said something different, he might have let you live. If I hadnât gotten carried away with my revenge, you wouldnât have gotten hurt. If I had gotten out of that stupid rope sooner, I would have prevented your fractures! If⌠If Iâd never known you, youâd be still alive.â
Tallbot talked to you as if you were lying there with him on the cold floor of the cell. But you werenât. You were somewhere in the middle of the woods, slowly bleeding to death. And it was all his fault and his fault alone. A closet full of memories of you burst open and flooded his mind with warm fuzzies. One of his most cherished memories was of you cooking together one day. It was after he broke down in front of you and you stayed with him. You took him in with all his broken self and tried to cheer him up. At that moment, for the first time in his life, he felt whole. He felt that you had become his safe place and he saw you as his future, his home.
And then he lost everything. Death would be a release for him because he didnât want to keep living in a world where youâre not. He found in you everything he ever needed and wanted in his lifeâŚ
.
Several hours might have passed since his self-pity when he rose to his feet with new determination. Only he knows what happened to you and where you are. If anyone can help you, it can only be him. He needs to get out of here as soon as possible and fly to you. He doesnât care if someone sees him on the way. Keeping his existence a secret is no longer his priority.
Talbott first tried to unlock the lock with his long claw - in vain, it was protected by a spell. He even tried to cut through the iron bars, but all he did was break his animal nails. In desperation he banged his shoulder not only against the door but also against the walls. The only result was a sore shoulder and an exhausted animagus.
When he discovered after several more attempts that he had no chance of getting away, he crawled into one of the moldy corners and gave himself up to weeping over your loss. He gave in to depression and self-criticism. Talbott had no way of knowing, but exhaustion took its toll on him the next morning. He fell into the arms of sleepless wandering until he was cruelly torn from his blissful unconsciousness.
At first, his subconscious registered only a faint murmur of voices somewhere in the distance. He didnât pay any attention, he didnât care what happened. But then the prison was illuminated by a bright, shining light. The light grew sharper and sharper behind his closed eyelids until it made him growl in irritation. He sat up abruptly and peered through the bars at⌠Your patron.
He only saw him once, when you summoned him and sent him away. If his imagination wasnât playing tricks on him, that would mean youâre still alive⌠Right? According to your long conversations, you had no one in your life who cared enough about you to take the form of your patron. SoâŚ
His cerebral convolutions began to work at full speed, one idea dying out before he let it fully develop only to begin to pursue another. And yet, his turbulent mind stopped at a single word.
âTalbott?â
His heart stopped completely and then began to race so quickly it was a continuous whir in his ears. There, on the edge of his cell, you stood in your full glory. The white light illuminating your face gave you the appearance of angelic creature, your hair flowing loosely around your face, and all he could think about at that moment was how ethereally beautiful you seemed to him.
âAre you alright?â Your ghost asked, and Talbott clumsily crawled to the bars in an attempt to get closer to you. His hand reached for you but was stopped by an invisible barrier. You were so close and yet out of his reachâŚ
âI donât want to interrupt your sweet reunion, but we have no time to waste.â Suddenly a manâs scratchy voice spoke. A wrinkled man emerged from the depths of the shadows, one artificial eye looking in all directions and a crazed expression on his face. Talbott immediately got to his feet, trying to get his attention and distract him from you.
âEasy, boy.â A pair of uneven eyes gazed at him in amusement, and he felt at that moment as if they could see to his very core.
âWeâre here to save you.â Your sweet voice spoke to him again and his heart broke at the tenderness in your gaze. His breath caught in his throat and he couldnât help but stare at you, unmoving. You came to save him. He stared back at you like a deer caught in the headlights of an approaching car. He struggled to understand why youâd gone to all the trouble just for him. âWhy..?" A single word slipped past his lips.Â
As Talbott watched your face contort into a pained grimace, your companion moved to the door, pulled out his wand and began muttering a series of incantations. You gave him a weak smile when you answered him: âBecause I care about you.â He stayed stunned for another long moment, blinking back at you, still as stone. You care about him. You care about him enough to risk everything in your life just so save him. Youâve chosen him. But if anyone sees you here, youâll get hurt again. And for who? Him. He canât risk your life again.
âIâm not sure youâll be able to open it.â He turned his attention to the older man, âIâve tried, but itâs no use.â He tried to shoo you both away but neither of you seemed to heed his words.
âMoody helped design this prison. He knows how to break the protective spells that keep you inside.â You boasted proudly as if it were your own creation and not someone else's and as if on cue, right after you finished speaking, the lock on the gate released with a soft click. You didnât hesitate for a second and jumped in after Talbott, trapping him in a tight embrace.Â
âIâm so sorry about what happened.â You whispered in his ear and curled even tighter around his body. He was much colder to the touch than you remembered, but you guessed that his body temperature had just dropped to normal human temperature. You were more worried about his inexpressiveness, his ragged appearance, and especially his ubiquitous minor injuries that looked like they were self-inflicted.Â
After a long period of silence when he hadnât moved an inch, Talbott gently stroked your hair: "What about your injury? Are you okay?" When you confirmed that you were and that Moody had healed all your injuries, he was incredibly relieved. He cupped your face in his hands and started looking at you from every angle. âYou are aliveâŚâ It was only when he heard your typical quiet giggle reality hit him - you are alive. Youâre alive and well. He felt his eyes fill with tears, but he let them flow freely and let himself be carried away by the fact that he could hold you in his arms again. He didnât lose you.
âYes, Iâm. We both are.â You emphasized, letting your lips rest on his forehead.
"But you wonât be much longer if we donât get moving. And fast." Moody growled behind you, turning his back on you to give you a sense of privacy. You couldnât help but agree with him and quickly got to your feet. You offered Talbott your hand and helped him to his feet. But even after he stood up he wouldnât let you go, and all the way you ran for the exit he held you as if he never wanted to let you go again in his life.
You had climbed up to one of the last floors, which no one unauthorised had any idea were on the Ministry premises, when Moody turned to you sharply. "He already knows about us. Iâll hold him off until you get up to the fireplaces. Donât worry about me and get to the meeting place as soon as you can." You didnât like the idea of splitting up, but you knew that if there was anyone who could stand up to your fellow executioner colegue, it would be your former superior auror. After all, heâs the one who taught you everything you know, and itâs only because of his help that youâve gotten so high in your career.
âBe careful.â You squeezed his shoulder tightly and without another word, you turned and headed for the exit. You didnât have much time and you werenât going to risk any second.
âAre you sure about leaving him alone?â Talbott looked towards the man who had - almost - set him free. His wand was slumbering in his hand and he had a crazy look in his eyes. From behind one of the many columns supporting the ceiling above their heads, a flurry of magic burst forth, and Talbott knew the source. He was already here.Â
âYou donât have to worry about him, heâs the best in his field. Besides, weâve been planning this long before this happened, he knows what he can and canât expect.â At this his black pupils delayed in astonishmed. What do you mean by planning? You couldnât have possibly predict this happening, could you? To his surprise, however, you disabused him of his mistake and began to explain your grandiose plan to save him.
âI knew that sooner or later he would find out that my reports were just a bunch of bullshit and start investigating on his own. I originally wanted to solve everything in secret on my own, but during my investigation into your existence - this was before we met - I discovered some inconsistencies in my⌠Field.â You paused while you pressed one of the many buttons in the elevator, and only after you had gone upstairs did you resume your story.Â
âFudge is not the worst Minister we have had, but he has recently become very paranoid and is hasty in dealing with serious situations and does not wait for evidence. When he learned from one wizard that a group of his opponents were secretly forming to oust him from the ministry, he instructed the wizard in question to take care of it quietly. And thatâs how my field came about. Basically, itâs just to remove anything and everyone that can damage Fudge in any way. He doesnât care how or why, his only demand is that it be done quietly and quickly, without leaving any evidence. Thatâs also why itâs just the two of us in this business and we never have backup.â The elevator stopped with an announcement that sounded unnaturally loud in the abandoned building, and you made your way towards a row of fireplaces from which you could move to any other location.
âAnd the wizard in question is your superior who attacked us? Who killed my - â
âYes.â You interrupted him so he wouldnât have to finish his thought and stopped in front of the first fireplace. âI left for so many days back then, because I was looking for a way to save you with my long-time friend, and preparing my colleagueâs downfall with Moody.â You took a handful of floo powder and stepped in with Talbott close behind as he formed his next question: âYou got anything on him?â Thatâs when he first saw the sly, triumphant grin on your face.
âWe found evidence that heâs one of the dark wizards working with you-know-who.â Then, without a single warning, you moved to an unfamiliar place where a red-haired man with a smile on his face was waiting for you. He greeted you with an old, nearly disintegrated shoe in his hand and a crazy story about a Horntail dragon he sent out for a little ride tonight as a distraction. It was highly unlikely that your friend would get a hold of one of the most vicious and aggressive breeds of dragon and it was more than suspicious that he had been hurriedly sent to the other side of the world just as one of the prisoners escaped.Â
You thanked him with a relieved smile on your face and a long hug, and though Talbottâs stomach tightened with jealousy at your proximity, he passed on his thanks, knowing that had it not been for him, they would not have gained this precious extra time for their escape. He looked incredulously at the shoe you called - if he remember correctly, a Portkey, and hesitantly touched it. Almost immediately, he felt an uncomfortable pressure at the site of his navel, and immediately afterwards the world began to spin around him until it blurred into a jumble of blotches. By the time he hit the dewy grass with a thud, his stomach was rocking back and forth and he was incredibly sick.
âIâll never use this again in my life, and thereâs no way youâre gonna make me.â He complained as he clumsily picked himself back up. All his further protests froze on his tongue when he found out that they were in the garden of a family house. âWhere are we?â
âWeâre on the property of Mrs. Laviska, a successful writer in the muggle world.â With one wave of your wand, you let the Portkey evaporate, and the next second, youâve secured the house against unauthorized transfer of outsiders. The house was already prepared in advance and secured with all known protection spells, all you had to do was to close off the property to Portkeys. Now that it was done, you breathed a sigh of relief for the first time in weeks. Youâre safe.
âAre you sure itâs okay to hide in some random womanâs house?â Talbott looked at you doubtfully, and then at the house behind you. There were no lights on in any of the windows but that didnât mean you were safe. You laughed at his obvious discomfort.
âMrs. Laviska is my pseudonym.â Talbott stared at you with obvious shock, his lips slightly parted in an unspoken question, one of his eyebrows drawn up in a perfect arch. âI like writing stories and some muggle money always comes handy. Plus no one from the wizarding world knows about this house.â You shrugged with a shy smile playing on your lips. âEven if they looked for us here, the property is owned by Annie Laviska, a succesful middle aged writer who gradueted from the local University. In the muggle world, she even has all the necessary documents and loving parents and two younger siblings.âÂ
Talbott couldnât stop marveling at your ingenuity and wit. Who would have thought youâd create a fake identity for them with a bulletproof backround. âAnd does this Mrs. Laviska have a husband?â He walked up to you until he was standing right next to you and with a feather touch, he stroked your soft, reddening cheek. You shook your head no. âNo, but thereâs someone sheâs very interested in.â You whispered in response while your hands found a place on his waist.
âOh really?â A wide smile, the likes of which youâve never seen before, settled on his face. Your heart beat incredibly fast when his fingers ran over your bottom lip. You felt your brain melt as his gaze lowered to your lips and his right hand pulled your body to his. Your breath got stuck in your throat when his eyes got glazed with lust. âY-yes, but I donât know if he feels the same way.â You stammered and tilted your head to his parted lips.
âAnd how can he prove to you that he wants the same thing as you?â Talbottâs breath was warm and fresh on your face. His proximity made your head spin, and before you could stop your next words, they were out. âBy kissing me.â
Talbott laughed briefly at the good fortune that smiled upon him in the form of the beautiful girl in his arms, now waiting for a kiss from him, her cheeks flushed and her eyes almost closed in anticipation of what would happen next. Now that he knew the answer to his question he couldnât help but feel confident. Before he locked his lips with yours in a sweet kiss of passion and repressed love, he didnât forgive himself for teasing you a little:
âIf you can beat me at chess, Iâll do more than that⌠Future hubby.â
The end
But I might write a little epilogue for you if youâre interested! Truth be told, my crazy imagination has already come up with a second series, but whether Iâd go for it is a big MAYBE.
