dolls,,, a small comic that spawned from an idea I discussed with my friends in the hscr discord server. it would take too long to explain everything that went behind this particular piece, but it's basically Scara making dolls of him and Heizou, and the detective startling him because Scara becomes too absorbed on the task.

In the very middle panel, Scara is on the right side instead of the left, this change is deliberate. I put Heizou on the right at first to symbolize the role Heizou takes on Scara's life at the earliest stages of their relationship: He's the one who protects him, who is affectionate and more straightforward with his feelings, while Scara still has his reservations. After Heizou proposes, however, it's Scaramouche who promises to take care of Heizou... on their vows. "Till death do us part..." quite literally. Even after Heizou is long gone, for he is a mortal... Scara will keep on wearing that cherished ring.
