✧․⸰°⋆‣ — angela was not one to be humble. no, it was not her way ;  she worked out of her own office, in her own building ;  multi-faceted windows  &&.  a certain glamour that, seemingly, only the stark tower could rival. but it wasn’t her tower ;  her foster parents, one of the richest families in switzerland, owned the building. but it wasn’t their only one ;  simply the one angela herself had sovereignty over.

✧․⸰°⋆‣ — but she still worked late nights, even when the rest of the employees had gone home. lights out, lights out ;  except for one room, unseen. the basement, where angela conducted most of her research.

✧․⸰°⋆‣ — she’s reeling at the smell of acrid smoke  &&.  the sting of heat in her eyes as she hid behind her desk. there was the sound of fighting,  &&.  a moment of quick judgement left her with a pistol in her hands, standing from her hiding place to climb over it.

✧․⸰°⋆‣ — &&.  now she’s shooting ;  a few rounds too many into the body of a hydra guard  ---  one she particularly hated. with a nasty round face  &&.  an ugly beard to match ;  she shakes, her hold on the gun becoming shaky as she peers at the star-spangled man who had arrived to liberate the base.

✧․⸰°⋆‣ — now, angela wasn’t one to believe in the stories she heard from america. she wasn’t stupid ;  but the sight of captain america himself before her, staring at her, gauging her hostility  ...  she laughs, almost with joy. she approaches him, embracing him with a tearful grip as she sobs against him.

✧․⸰°⋆‣ — angela sat at her computer, idly switching through desktop applications  &&.  notes she had taken on her research. she peers up as her door opens ;  in comes her favorite cowboy,  &&.  her wide, gracious smile nearly glittered as she stood, shoes clicking against tile as she circled ‘round her desk  &&.  moved toward him.
