1. so like. maybe jeremy’s dad is the man his mom cheated with. maybe jeremy only shares a mom with his siblings. maybe he learned it the hard way. maybe he blew up at the banquet and spilled the beans of his mother’s infidelity. maybe.

2. maybe like. jeremy and his stepfather used to hook up. when jeremy was a minor. and then suddenly the guy his mom has been talking to for nearly a year is also the guy jeremy has been letting use him in hotel rooms. he’s forced to shut his mouth or else. the Knox need his money though. at the banquet his mother announces their engagement. jeremy blows up. confesses, comes out at the same time. cps and the police get involved. nothing’s proven. they marry anyway. maybe.

3. maybe jeremy’s dad killed himself because of army & war ptsd. but it got covered up for politics purposes, said he was killed in action. and jeremy found out. because in his case, it began to constitute family history of mental illness. maybe.

4. now that i think about it jeremy might have been a wilderness therapy / troubled teen industry victim. maybe.
