[Hectors voice cracks as he yells out. Theres a slight hiccup from the air flow. It’s warm breeze halting for a moment before you’re blasted with cold air.]

[Hector suddenly whines loudly. It echos through the vents. You hear a slight thud as Hector pushes his face into the flooring of the vent, hands over his ears to hide how red he is. Though it’s already hard to tell from where you’re standing outside the vent.]

I wasn’t trying to do anything malicious I wasn’t thinking about that at all, the heat was poor control on my part, I will go and fix that. I’m so so so sorry you shouldn’t have to deal with my fault.

[He goes quite realizing his ‘explaining’ was making this all worse. He stays silent for so long you wonder if he’s left.]

Me? Well I don’t suppose I have a preferred temperature for myself, no not really. I adjust to whatever temperature is needed it’s all fine to me. Tho I suppose I do have to say it does feel nice to be a neutral temperature so my systems don’t over heat.

Oh I see, I apologize I am not familiar with that phrase…I’m so sorry you have dealt with that my love. Those people who have done this to you are nothing, let them be nothing not even a mere passing thought. They do not deserve the energy wasted on them.

[He makes a high pitched whining noise dripping with embarrassment. You see him lean away from the grates continuing to cover his face. The warm air doesn’t stop pouring out. It’s unintentional especially in this heat but he can’t help it.]

[His words are quick and frantic as he tries to explain himself though clearly it’s not working.]

[Hector is quiet for a moment while he looks you over before quickly looking away. Refusing to make eye contact with you. His voice cracks and its pitch goes up.]

[Hector absolutely beams with pride at your praise. He raises his head up proudly (as much as someone inside a vent can.) and you can tell by the eye his eye crinkle he’s smiling wide.]
