alls well thats well for me

bsd's concept is great but how every character is portrayed and it's plot, I personally think it never landed right. (I don't like asagiri as a writer in general. yes he can make/write great things but something always has a massive problem with it that ruins the story entirely q.q)

also dazai's character is really disrespectful to the actual guy and it's awful so instead of basing dazai off of the no longer human book I'm basing him off of another book the real guy wrote, possibly pandora's box ? I'm in the process of reading it

I think it's better to separate these characters from their real life counterparts and just base them ENTIRELY on their books rather than actual people (it's just me probably that thinks it's uncomfortable to see)

bsd in general is also very sexist with their female characters, basically all of them we know of rely on the men to develop them and more. it's so bad:((( they deserve so much better !!! not even sexism but overall the story is so jumbled and messy, and well most of it is really dumb. it's genuinely so sad to see such a good concept written HORRIBLY!!!!!! oh and don't get me started on the designs man. -.-

hello ! first post on this blog and maybe my most controversial ..! so disclaimer: I do not mind if you ship soukoku or anything else, people should have fun !!!! this is just a rant of my own … be nice to me …

starting off strong: I hate soukoku and how people interpret chuuya and dazai in particular. I think a lot of the fandom struggles with how they make the two only revolve around eachother ..? like the fandom doesn't know how to make them seperate them from eachother … it really bothers me whenever chuuya has such an amazing character too outside of dazai :(( same of course goes for dazai as well . and it's not even like the writers in bsd can't make them two separate because … uh … stormbringer barely had dazai and thankfully focused mainly on chuuya and his other relationships . this also goes for dazai as well and practically most of his screentime in the series and especially the backstory of him, oda and ango . that is the main reason why I hate soukoku , but I have a lot of other reasons … after reading stormbringer and doing a lot of rewatches of bsd I think a lot of people see dazai and chuuya a lot differently than I def see the two … so here's a rant I actually did after reading stormbringer and stuff !!!!: dazai will willingly make sure chuuya gets tortured first and go through a LOT of trauma before actually helping them… there's most def more than that chuuya has done shit too but well yk it's not really as half bad as dazai guys I hate to break it to you all but these two are NOT good for eachother this is literally toxic yaoi I fear and I gen don't think they could ever be a good match for eachother even though dazai yk has better morals now they could've if they were actual normal people with normal lives and weren't both fucking brutally traumatized then oh yeah sure

they seem more like toxic exes than anything more

the only reason why they even work with eachother at all is just because they both know it'll benefit them both in the long run chuuya knows for a fact that dazai is probably the smartest human being tied with fyodor (or above fyodor..? honestly idk) chuuya would honestly be stupid to NOT go along with a lot that he's saying he's not doing it because he likes dazai, he's doing it because it benefits him oh and btw chuuya's ability/god thing is fueled by RAGE. it only goes off of rage. guess who chuuya hates the most? Dazai. there's why dazai was the only name said while chuuya was in his corrupt form or whatever!! also dazai never communicates with chuuya or does anything with chuuya unless it's specifically apart of his own plan (he got chuuya to 'pretend' save fyodor (or really himself) from the prison because chuuya was literally the only one capable of doing so) these two only have decent interactions only because it'll benefit either in the long run or just cus chuuya mostly wants to get back at dazai!!! if chuuya wasn't as powerful as he was, dazai would probably barely use him at all dazai is the only one who can stop chuuya's power from going completely berserk (like gen not because he likes dazai, because of dazai's goddamn ability) they're basically only in a repeating cycle of hatred and using one another !! that shit toxic as hell
