Character Trope/Writing Prompt
A god, a divinity, something eternal and ethereal, traveling with a mortal. Maybe a strong one, either in strength or will, but still a little, pitiful mortal, in the god's eyes.
Perhaps they needed to stop a big, shared enemy, fight for a grand cause, be part of future tales, or the god was just curious about this human. Either way, on their travels toward they goal, the divinity learned.
How mortals acted, the subtle marvel some showed behind all that nonsense bloodbath many fought for. How they wept, fought, cried, laughed. The god wasn't sure how to feel, always so detached from the mortal world.
But the human they traveled with? They were different. They stood for their values, their heart tightened and their voice raised in front of injustice. They cried their enemies, yet did not wait for pity or mercy.
They loved. Maybe not in the traditional sense, but that love touched the divinity.
And maybe, just maybe, they found someone to stand by side. Just for a little longer, in that vast world filled with too short lives.
