Hey friends! So Justin and I did a thing! And wanted to kick it off since it's now November. I'm nervous and excited and hopeful that everything will work out. We launched KoalaBash by @fullfamilyliving. A new family-oriented brand that provides family party subscription boxes. The hope is that we can provide a way for families to play together and enjoy each other and create meaningful memories. Life is busy and it isn't always easy to put together or plan celebrations but it has always meant a lot to my babies. Each box contains a craft for the kiddos, a game or two for the family to play together, a party themed decor item, a family-friendly recipe that you can all make together, and a QR code for a theme related music playlist, because what is a party without a good playlist? I really hope that this can be a simple and meaningful way for families to connect. As a working mom I want to make sure that my time is spent connecting with my kids, and I want to provide an easier way for families to do that. This little magical unicorn turned four last month. Crazy to think how just four years ago, we were still driving to the NICU every day to be with her. How we were just waiting for her to break four pounds so we could get her home. We had no idea what we were in for with this one. She ride or die, but I wouldn't have it any other way. She had a special date with Dad in which she got him to buy her dinner, ice cream, and two new dresses. Justin and I spent the last couple days repainting the master bedroom. September marks six months and our new home, and it's already been so good to us. Justin has been incredible and done so many projects to make our home special. Minus a an incident with a three-year-old and a hammer and a flat screen TV, things have gone fairly smooth, if not as fast as we might have planned on certain projects. Something I love about @jsluczak is he is an eternally optimistic guy. part of that though means he severely underestimate the time he thinks projects will take. :-) But in the six months we've been here he built us a beautiful mantle and a custom fireplace with stone work and a herringbone shiplap pattern, completely overhauled our kitchen organization including our pantry (this project was the most surprising to me), painted and reorganized and added shelves and hanging and drying racks in our laundry room which was not very practical when we moved in, and repainted and arranged our bedroom. Next will be building hanging shelves for the garage, putting in a front yard and sprinkler system, and finishing the stand-alone bedroom in the basement. Also I want some nice front porch furniture so I can watch the sunrise over our beautiful mountains. So just a small list. :) Justin and I also recently shifted roles a bit so that I'm working full-time and he's home with the kids, which means that sometimes the kids get it half dressed by the end of the day. Notice how Hyrum is still in his pajama pants but he is wearing the cutest little t-shirt(and a smile) :-) Justin is the best partner, the best dad, the best husband and pretty artistic and handy to boot so I have no complaints. And you better believe I'll post more pictures of our room when it's done. I've been in a bit of a creative slump lately. Finding myself more likely to reach for my phone than my camera (hello life). And while there is nothing wrong with that, I decided that I wanted to give myself more creative freedom to shoot things that may not have profound meaning other than I find them beautiful, and I find joy in shooting and working with these images. And that is meaning enough. I'll also probably work more of my photography work back into this account (I have @luczakphoto) because I find myself not always managing two accounts very well, and I find joy and pride in sharing beautiful things I have made with beautiful people. The last month has been crazy for our little family. Camping at bear lake, a trip to Texas, girls camp and then another impromptu birthday trip to Wyoming. Then mom get sick from not enough sleep. Today I feel grateful. I feel grateful for my testimony and my Savior. For His patience and the patience of my husband and family. I feel grateful for wonderful neighbors, co-workers, family and just generally people in my life who love and support me and really try and help me become a better person and lift my burdens. I almost obscenely blessed with a plethora of incredible people around me. Today I also feel guilty. Disappointed that I am unable to balance all of the different parts of my life as well as I would like to. Guilty that I miss things or don't do more, or do more than I should and selfishly take opportunities that should be other's. But I'm okay with that. I'm grateful to know that both gratitude and guilt and a hundred other emotions can exist in the same moment in the same place, and that I can choose which one I focus on. I'm greatful because I have wonderful people in my life and they will help remind me what's important and support me and show me kindness and patience even when I do fall short. Today I am also feel grateful for videos where kids think you're taking pictures (swipe 😂). And today I also feel hungry. Tonight was a good night. nothing super extraordinary. The kids are kind of sick so tonight we played and laughed and snuggled and watched some TV. But it was just one of those good nights. I could tell the kids felt loved, and I could feel the peace of each moment. Fully knowing that these are the times that I will miss the most when they are gone. There was still a little fighting, siblings not getting long and a bit of craziness, but at the end of the night we were all smiling and reading books and it just was a good night you know?
