So if you need a huge burst of positive energy?? I recommend this video, it’s such a beautiful song. The song writer and composer put ALL genres of music to blend in together and this movie is SUCH A FEEL GOOD MOVIE! It’s a beautiful message and helps me through dark times honestly.

It also helps give me HUGE bursts of serotonin and if you haven’t watched the movie, I suggest watching it first. It’s on Hulu right now.

There was so much to see…so much that was so different. Miguel may have told him to wait closer to the market, but there was too much to explore to just sit and wait! Héctor’s wanderings had eventually led the gangly boy to the blue pick-up parked outside of the Rivera’s hacienda. Automobiles were the hot, new thing back home… Or rather, back home in his time. The papers talked about them in Mexico City over and over when he was littler, and only in the past few years had he seen one or two pass by in his Santa Cecilia. But they looked quite a lot different from this one, all painted blue and no…ugh, what was it called…? Radiator?

The driver’s window was open - another opportunity too good to pass up. Héctor had propped himself up on the foothold to peek inside, baffled by the plethora of buttons and controls on the dash. He couldn’t quite see them all, so he reached in to explore the hidden spots with little fingers… At least until the car suddenly protested his explorations loudly, even if just for a millisecond, “Aah–!!” The horn sound was enough to startle the boy and knock him back onto his rear in the dirt. 

His explorations had drawn attention, unfortunately, and he whipped his head up to stare at the woman. “……Uh……” Miguel had also told him not to talk to anyone but what about when they talked to you?? “……N-No, señora…” He hopped to his feet. retreiving his hat from the ground yet not putting it back on. It was instead held at his middle out of respect. “I-I…..umm…..” He couldn’t lie…but he couldn’t tell the whole truth either…… “…I-I’m waiting for someone is all…”

luisa watched as he had accidentally pressed down on the car horn and when he fell back, she hurried as best as she can to reach him. she helped him to his feet and gently pat him clean of dust. pressing her hands to her belly, she lift herself up to stand straight as she smiled at him. she can tell just from this interaction he was just a sweet boy. when he spoke of waiting for someone, she raised a slim brow with a tilt of her head, before a smile appeared on her face. “are you a friend of miguel? or rosa y abel?”

but she wasn’t sure how long he’s been out here waiting, so she spoke, voice gentle and soft as though she spoke to her own son, “ven, ven. i’m sure you’re friend wouldn’t mind if you came to have a drink. this is one of the hotter days.” and unless he stood underneath the alero, there wasn’t much one can do about shade. plus, she enjoyed watching the children so she couldn’t let him get thirsty out here.

"I'm not the same as I was before." hikari.

it was true, everyone grew up and perhaps it was childish to believe her brother was the same as he was at ten years old. she wasn’t the same hikari as before either, but this sentence, she was finally seeing her brother grown up. it was wrong to try to show she changed and expect him to be the same taichi as before. he always was standing by her side and he knows he has her at his side too. 

she’d argue over anyone that he was still the world’s best big brother no matter how much he’s changed. she gave a nod of her head, as she gave a reassuring smile, “of course, it’s silly to think you’re the same. i’m not the same as before, everyone changes.” rarely do they speak about such mature topics like this, but it also helps her with not being so dependent on her brother like she was as a kid.

“just, you know, you can come and talk to me anytime, onii-chan.” she still has to learn to open up about her own darkness but she still wants him to know that he has someone to be there for him no matter what.
