::BACKGROUND:: Omarion Hayes was never the loudest kid in the room. Raised in the upscale, quiet town of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, he stood out not for his voice, but for his heart. His mother was an absent goddess he never knew and his father had a whole other family that he seemingly favored over his first born son. Omari was left to be raise by his grandmother, a hospital nurse. It was through 'Ms. Pearlene' as she was known in their community, that Omarion was taught to value warmth, patience, and the sanctity of care. From a young age, he found peace in cooking, tending to others, and restoring calm where chaos brewed. What Omarion didn’t know was that those gifts were stemmed from latent divine blood. He was the 'good-boy' in high school. Proper. Dressed neatly and fashionably. Perfect attendance, high grades. His grandmother would not expect less. Although he had his moments stowing away to a friend's party just to show face, his high school years were primarily spent in extracurricular that led to volunteering for the community. For university, he pursued his degree in nursing, following in his grandmother's footsteps. His actual career started as a RN in the same hospital his grandmother worked at. He was noted by his patience to have a calming presence; a strange way of making a room feel like a home the moment he stepped in. Tensions in his patients were eased. No life was ever without conflict. Omarion's own is with his father and step-family. He was born when his father was still in his early twenties. Even after his father married, he moved to Miami, FL and started to have more children with his wife. Omarion remained with his grandmother, only seeing his dad and stepfamily during major holidays. Needless to say, there is some silent resentment but his grandmother kept him anchored and showed him to appreciate the life he did have.
::TIDBITS::
ৡ When Omarion is especially emotional—either deeply comforted or protective—the air around him warms subtly, like sitting near a cozy fireplace. His eyes flicker gold in those moments, as if a flame lives behind them. ৡ Has a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. ৡ Grew up Baptist, dragged to church by his grandmother and often attended it when actually visiting with his stepfamily. With the reveal of his divine blood and the the existence of the greek gods being real, he questions his christian faith. ৡ He hates sterile, dreary and lifeless places—cold kitchens, empty houses and hospitals, which is why he turned his career to home care. ৡ He carries grief deeply, not just his own, but others’ as well. When people around him are hurting, he feels it. He doesn’t break down, but he’ll quietly stay up all night tending to others before admitting he needs help too. ৡ He carries a small scented wax candles with him at all times. He uses them for centering himself, or protecting a space from bad energy, essentially making spaces less hollow and more welcoming. ৡ Raised by his grandmother, Omarion loves preparing soul food—roasts, stews, cornbread, baked mac and cheese; meals that fill the stomach and heart. ৡ He’s into candles, essential oils, and teas and blends custom tea mixes for different moods (focus, grief, sleep, protection, etc.). ৡ He keeps a leather-bound journal filled with poetry, mantras, thoughts from clients he’s cared for. ৡHe’s amazing at bedside care and volunteers in the infirmary, keeping his fellow campers company as they heal.
