i saw an ad for a period tracking app of all things be like "now that the world cup is over, men are entering their luteal phase! they're so sad! but good news!! women are entering their follicular phase :) you get to have the remote back now diva yaaaay" like how fucking misogynistic can you get? "men sad no more ball but women happy" I'm banging a hammer against my head. A) women watch football. we watch all sports! even if you aren't a fan all the time women play, understand, and enjoy sports just as much as men do. also, B) when the WC and UEFA and whatever else are on, domestic violence against women fucking skyrockets. Being all "oh men are in their sad hormonal bitchy phase because they can't watch messi every 3 days anymore" is so tone deaf to women who ACTUALLY have to deal with a shit man getting irrationally angry over a match and taking it out on her. I'm sorry but we need to eliminate all these companies who try to appeal to women by dragging them through the mud.
