This season has been   b e y o n d   terrible, no denying that. Every time I’ve told myself “at least it can’t possibly get worse now, right?” I’ve been proven dead wrong. But that’s football - last season we had a season full of highs, this one has just been heartbreak after heartbreak. I’ve supported Chelsea my entire life, and I can safely say this is the worst season I have witnessed. But I know this club; which is why I KNOW we will be back stronger. I’ve been sad, mad, frustrated, furious and pretty much every other negative adjective there is, but now I’ve decided to look forward. The season is over for us - sure, one can hope to reach top 5 and get European football next season (and as the idiot I am, I never give up hoping until it’s 100% impossible) - but there’s definitely no more hopes of a trophy. So I want to try my best to stop being negative now (which I’ll admit I have been a lot lately), and rather start looking forward to next year. I hope Conte will arrive, and get rid of all the players who won’t give it their all for the club for the full 90 minutes every single week. He sure has the balls to do so, and I both hope and think he’ll help us get back to what we used to be... A club full of passionate players, who fought for the badge. I expect that quite a few players will leave for clubs with UCL, but at this point I won’t cry over a single one of those who decides to do so. If there’s one thing this season has taught me, it is that players who truly wants to play for the club are more valuable than others who might be better players, but doesn’t have the same passion.
