Super smart? Well, he certainly can’t argue with that. No matter their quirks and poor habits, Frisk is a wise and bright individual with a lot of potential, most of it not yet tapped into due to endless sloth. Perhaps said excellent mothering is all it will take for them to reach for the stars, so he hopes, pink tickling his cheekbones as he plants himself on the couch. Notably, he forgets all about the milk.
“WELL, I AM GREAT AT A LOT OF THINGS,” comes a reply that betrays its confident intent with a tone most modest. Curling fingers shyly in the fabric of his gloves does Papyrus add, “AND MOTHERING IS VERY IMPORTANT! WHO ELSE WILL BE AROUND TO KEEP YOU AND SANS IN LINE? THE DOG? OF COURSE NOT,” spoken with a haughty scoff. “IF SLEEPING IS GOOD FOR THE MIND, THEN THAT DOG MUST HAVE LEARNED ALL OF HIS THIEVERY THROUGH DREAMS. HE’D ONLY STEAL EVERYTHING YOU LOVE MOST, AND THEN NAP WITH YOU IN YOUR RACE CAR—— IN YOUR BED—— WHILE CUDDLING??
“— BUT THAT’S JUST HYPOTHETICAL!”
Papyrus’s rambling allows the softest of giggles to bubble up to the back of their throat, being held in and quivering their body ever so slightly as it leaves on a just as shaky exhale. They are tired, true, but they would stay awake until the end of time if it meant seeing Papyrus so happy over mothering them.
[ You are great at a l o t of things. I know this for a fact because you’re the best big brother-mother that I know. ] Also the only ‘big brother-mother’ that they know. They yawn softly and lean against him, feeling as if they could truly sleep like this and rest SOUNDLY, maybe even get a good night’s rest? Even if it’s the middle of the day. They sign halfheartedly now, almost as if they’re slowly falling asleep. [ I’m sure it’s only hypothetical, Papy. I’m s o o o o o o sure it is. ]
