HE HADN'T EXACTLY SUPPOSED THAT HE WOULD END UP HERE. pathetic? yes, he supposed that he was and.. right now, nathaniel knew that much. after all, he had let his guard down for one second and everything had gone to hell after that and.. yes, it was hard to not blame himself for what had happened to marcus. it was hard to not blame himself for what had happened to his son and shit, he did. the nurses had kicked him out in order to check marcus' vitals once again and so, he had decided to sit down in the floor outside the room, because.. no, he couldn't go anywhere else. could he? right now, it didn't feel like he could. when someone's footsteps reached his ears, he looked up, running a hand through his face. "hey, um.. am i in your way? sorry. DIDN'T MEAN TO. just waiting for them to get it over and done with so i can get back inside. think they're pretty tired of me at this point, huh?" a joke to hide just how he was truly feeling? oh, it very much was.
veronica wasnât a fan of anything that had happened. she didnât quite understand the whole thing though either. how could anyone do such a thing? she was volunteering to help out at the hospital. trying to be helpful. the raven haired woman approached the building and sighed. another day of trying to help people. she couldnât do anything else. sure, she had minor scrapes and bruises herself but the people with more injuries than her needed help. she raised her eyebrow as she heard his voice, âoh, no. youâre not in my way. donât even worry. iâm just a volunteer here.â she explained to the man.
