I really am. I’m not even ashamed to admit it. Luckily there wasn’t. I got to everything just in time. The only thing ruined was the food itself.

Maybe next time just order a pizza or go out to eat or just do anything that would keep you out of the kitchen.

I would love that. Seriously, it would be great to have someone drag me out of my place and do something fun.

I’ve been tired all day long so I, stupidly, decided to take a nap while I was waiting for my dinner to finish cooking. Bad. Idea. If it weren’t for my smoke alarm and dogs barking, I would’ve set my whole kitchen or possibly house on fire. This is why Ashley Victoria Benson shouldn’t be allowed into the kitchen… at least without a good night’s rest.

You are like a child sometimes. You can’t be trusted alone for long periods of time. Was there any real damage done?

I think I’m finally starting to get a hang on this new mom thing. I’m not worrying about not being a good mom anymore and my hours of sleep have improved. I mean, I still get just a couple of hours but it’s more than what I started with and any sort of progress is good, right?

I agree. Two hours is better than none. If I were you, I would definitely take it as a win. How old is your baby now?

I’ve been back for two months now and I still feel so out of place. Outside of working, I have no idea what to do with myself or who to go out with. I’m officially at a temporary life standstill.

That feeling is the absolute worse. But I think by now I’m a master at getting through it, so I could help you out if you want?

We could even turn it into a business. It could be a side-business. Or a full one, you know, if this whole acting thing doesn’t work out in the end.

I could’ve come up with a lame Canadian joke there but I’ll spare you the horror. In all the years I’ve been out here, I’ve never once thought to do that myself. I may just have to follow your lead.

Thank you for that because I can assure you that I’ve probably heard all of them. We could be the trendsetters. I mean, I’m sure there are plenty of other people who do it, but we can be the ones that make it popular.

And where is home exactly for you? It really does. Southern California needs to get with the program and throw some snow our way for a change.

Canada. West Vancouver to be more specific. Right? I think next year I may find some sort of machine that I can make my own snow with. It’s not exactly the same but it’ll make it feel more winter-y.

Right? What is Christmas without snow on the ground and people freezing their asses off?

Seriously! I look forward to going home for the holidays every year just for the chance of possibly having a White Christmas. Not that I don’t love the Southern California weather, but it just throws off the whole spirit of Christmas and maybe even December in general.

I always forget how much better the cold weather back here in Michigan is than the heat of Los Angeles. This is how December is supposed to feel.

That’s exactly what I thought once I got back in Canada. Even though the cold was getting on my nerves when I was filming a few weeks ago, I still think it’s not officially Christmastime without a nice chill.
