Education moment. Tetralogy of fallot is the presence of four of the most common heart defects in infants. The whole between the chambers is an atrial or ventricular (depending on location) septal defect. Accompanied with pulmonic stenosis which causes the valve to disfunction where the heart pumps blood to the lungs from the right ventricle. The right ventricle is also in a state of hypertrophy or enlargement. Finally you got an overriding aorta that allows blood from both sides of the heart to be pumped into the body. Fixable in most cases but a risky surgery for infants that is only able to be repaired over time. Thankfully he’s doing a okay. ☺️
