Vox saying thousands of sinners were exterminated seems numerically impossible, however I put forward how I’ve decided to see it.

Vox says thousands because he only cares about those under contract/ in his employ, thus being personally victimized by losing his servants. Losing thousands of people he owns makes sense why Vox actually cares about that number, especially assuming the sheer number that must reside in Hell at large.

Only giving a shit about what he considers “his” and his possessions seems on brand for him.

In "Once We Get Up There" Valentino is the only one of the Vees talking about getting back at the Exorcists as a positive.
